Come work with us! We're filling two shelter positions.

🐈‍⬛ Shelter Associate: part-time
Are you excited about a position that combines your love of cats with your customer service skills? Join us at Cat Adoption Team!

As a shelter associate, you’ll have the opportunity to provide compassionate animal care and bring (and keep) cats and people together. In this role, you’ll help maintain cleanliness of animal housing and other areas, monitor cats and kittens for health and behavior, assist with record-keeping, support the public with adoptions and other services, answer phones and email, schedule appointments, train and oversee volunteers, and work the reception & retail desk. It can be busy, smelly, and loud sometimes — but if purpose-driven work that supports people and pets is meaningful to you, this is a truly fulfilling role!

🐈‍⬛ Shelter Operations Director: full-time
Looking for an opportunity to put your leadership skills to work for cats and people? Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is seeking an experienced Shelter Operations Director to lead our shelter and community programs.

In this role, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary department of approximately 17 employees through three direct-report managers and program leaders. You’ll oversee animal care, admissions, adoptions, foster care, volunteer engagement, customer service, behavior and enrichment, staffing, and departmental budgets. As a member of CAT’s senior leadership team, you’ll also help turn organizational goals into effective operations and collaborate across departments to keep cats moving safely and efficiently through our programs.

CAT is focused on creating a positive, inclusive workplace and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds. Take a look at our DEI Statement of Principle on our website to learn more.

Happy — meet AC Unit.

After raising her babies and joining the last litter club, this sweet, stunning mama cat will be ready to go home after spay surgery on Friday. She loves humans, gently requesting affection with her forehead boops, and is deserving of a family of her own.

How did she earn the unique name AC Unit? She was a pregnant stray and— searching for a safe place to deliver her kittens— shimmied into a home via the HVAC system. She was found in the air conditioner, nesting for birth.

Now that this 2-year-old has raised her kittens, she is looking forward to a long life in a quite home where she can be the center of attention.

Would she fit your household?

Visit her foster family's IG page to learn more about AC Unit:

Adopt Floofersnoots & Granola. This pair of 5-month-old kittens is playful, goofy, energetic, and wonderful as you'd expect.

These teens would thrive in a home with a moderate amount of activity as they're both playful and social. They like to relax in laps for snuggle time after getting to romp around with their toys. Granola and Floofersnoots aren't officially bonded, meaning they don't have to be adopted as a pair, but you may want to consider it because....

What else makes this duo special is that they tested positive for FeLV— the feline leukemia virus. Cats can have a variety of responses to the virus, including higher susceptibility to infections and illnesses. Mainly, FeLV+ cats only want to go home to other FeLV-positive cats or kittens. If you're looking to adopt more than one, they're waiting for you!
