Our friends at Small Town Shelter, Inc need some walking help. Check out their post below and reach out to Kelly if you're able to give just a little bit of time to help these pups get some outside time!

🐾 Midnight & Spooky need some walking buddies! 🐾

We could really use a few dependable volunteers willing to commit to helping us get these two girls out for walks.

Our permanent resident Justice is an old man these days 😂 He’s perfectly content with a few rounds of fetch and then calling it good. The puppies have each other to wrestle, play, and burn off their ridiculous puppy energy.

Midnight and Spooky kind of fall right in the middle.

They need the exercise, the stimulation, and the chance to get out and explore. And honestly, they do GREAT on a leash!

The problem? There are two of them. 😂

We tried walking them together. FAILED. They were fine. Kelly was not. We ended up a tangled mess and quickly realized these girls need individual walks. 😂

One walk a day would be sufficient, but two would be even better. We’d love to find a few dependable people so we can share the load and make sure these girls are getting what they need while they’re with us.

A few helpful hints if you're coming to our last J.U.M.P.™ Night tonight:
- smile
- have fun with your dog
- bring bug spray

The field is mostly dried out from the rain but there are a few spots that are still wet. We will have some surprises and more exciting news to share with everyone who comes out!

6:00pm ~ until dark (field time for in-training or experienced agility teams)

The big finale... HERE IT IS! A Premier Standard course from agility judge Sangie Brooks. This course has some wonderful skills proofing for the advanced handlers and some nested options for the junior handlers. We'll be putting out two sets of cones to give all skill sets an opportunity to run on Friday night at J.U.M.P.™ - are you planning to come? We'll be starting at 6pm and running 2-minute turns so everyone can participate!

How is it already September? This Friday will be our final J.U.M.P.™ Night of the season -- we hope you will join us and get in some great practice while supporting a great place: Small Town Shelter, Inc will benefit from all your donations for the final time this summer. $5 for 2 minutes in the ring. We'll start at 6pm, and go as long as there's daylight!

An exciting part of our journey bringing dog sports to Chautauqua County is including young people and their dogs. We were so happy to host this event in August and look forward to expanding it next year!

Area youth had the opportunity to gather and learn about dog competitions, as well as basic handling techniques during a Dog Sports Day. The event was held recently at The K9 Complex in Sherman, hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County 4-H. The Dog Sports Day was made possible through a grant awarded by Nestle Purina which is being used for new agility equipment for the 4-H program, entries for youth in an AKC Fast CAT event, and four educational sessions.

Oh my my ... it's Fri-Fri-Fri (day)! Come J.U.M.P.™ tonight with us and your $5 run will be donated to Small Town Shelter, Inc.

2 mins in the ring for $5 and we have a fun course from our Agility League elementary team's week 1 that we didn't get to run so it's new for everyone!

We'll start at 6pm and, with it getting dark earlier will likely wrap up around 7:30pm.

With our J.U.M.P.™ Night coming up on Friday, we thought it would be a great opportunity to keep this flexible sequence available for practice this week. Use it as the intended numbered handling sequence, or make up your own "this-or-that" handling, add some distance and challenge you and your dog's skills. We've shared the visual walk of this course on our YouTube channel and included it in our post. Special thanks to Tammy for demonstrating the handler's sequence!
