June is National Microchip Month 🐾

A collar and tag are important, but if they come off, a microchip can help bring your pet back home. Pets with microchips are much more likely to be reunited with their families.

And just a reminder... microchips are NOT GPS trackers. They don’t track your pet’s location, but they do provide important identification information that can be scanned by shelters and veterinary clinics.

Now is the perfect time to make sure your pet’s microchip registration and contact information are up to date. Need your pet microchipped or have questions? Give Lange Veterinary Hospital a call today. 🐶🐱

Cats may not speak our language, but they’re always communicating 🐱💬

From litter box issues and excessive meowing to overgrooming or scratching furniture, changes in behavior can sometimes be your cat’s way of telling you something isn’t quite right.

The good news? Many behavior concerns can be improved with the right care, enrichment, routine, and sometimes a quick checkup with your veterinarian.

At Lange Veterinary Hospital, we’re here to support both you and your feline friend every step of the way. Give us a call if your cat is acting out of the ordinary. 🧡🐾

Just because your pet is getting older doesn’t mean slowing down is “just part of aging.” 🐾

Changes like stiffness, sleeping more, accidents in the house, confusion, or less interest in playing can sometimes be signs of treatable pain or illness. The earlier these issues are identified, the better chance we have to keep your pet comfortable, healthy, and active through their senior years.

Routine wellness visits and senior screenings can make a big difference in your pet’s quality of life.

If your pet is entering their golden years, our team is here to help every step of the way. Give Lange Veterinary Hospital a call to schedule a wellness exam today. 💙

Those ears may be cute, but they can also hide problems you can’t see. 👂🐾

Because dogs and cats have L-shaped ear canals, they’re more prone to ear infections caused by bacteria, yeast, allergies, moisture, and even ear mites. If you notice scratching, head shaking, redness, odor, or discharge, don’t ignore it.

A few simple habits like regular ear checks, drying ears after swimming or baths, and using vet-recommended cleaners can go a long way in keeping your pet comfortable and healthy.

If you think your pet may be dealing with an ear infection, give us a call. Early treatment can help prevent more serious issues later on.
