🚨🐱 FOUND – TEX’S QUICK STOP, SHERMAN, NY 🐱🚨

Is this your kitty? Does anyone recognize her?

This sweet girl has been frequenting the local gas station looking for food, and she is VERY pregnant! 🐾❤️

We’re concerned about where she may end up having her babies, especially with the colder weather approaching.

If we don’t hear from anyone who recognizes her, and she shows up again tonight, we plan to bring her into Small Town Shelter so she has a safe, warm place to deliver her babies.

We don’t want to take someone’s beloved pet, but we also don’t want this mama giving birth outside if she doesn’t have a home.

❤️ Please share and help us find out where this girl belongs!

📞 Recognize her? Call or text Kelly at (716) 224-2244.

🐾❤️ JUSTICE DESERVES HIS HAPPY ENDING! ❤️🐾

With all our new followers, we figured it was time to introduce you to Small Town Shelter’s longest resident!

Meet Justice, our loyal, mouthy, treat-loving bull in a china shop! 😂❤️

Justice came to us over 4 years ago as part of a legal situation. Unfortunately, he spent TWO YEARS waiting for the courts to give us permission to find him a home.

Now, at approximately 6+ years old, our big guy is slowing down, getting a little chunky, and dreaming of retirement. Preferably on a fluffy dog bed in front of a fireplace. 😂

❤️ A little about Justice:
🐾 Neutered and will be UTD on vaccines by the end of October.
🐾 Dog selective, and honestly, he’s enough dog all by himself!
🐾 No cats, please.
🐾 LOVES children, but he’s built like a linebacker and may accidentally send a little one flying. 😂
🐾 Loves tennis balls, treats, and lounging in the grass.
🐾 Has recall with established boundaries, but a secure yard or supervised run line would be ideal.

Justice used to live for long walks, but these days he’d rather chase his tennis ball 6 or 7 times and call it a day. He’s earned that right! ❤️

Here’s the part that breaks our hearts.

Justice has spent YEARS watching other dogs come and go. He has a special human friend who visits and spends time with him, but at the end of the day, Justice is still sleeping alone in his kennel.

We cannot imagine this sweet old soul spending another winter out back.

He doesn’t need a fancy house, a fireplace, or even that fluffy bed. He just needs someone to love him and a place to call home. ❤️

📲 Interested in giving Justice the retirement he deserves? Message our page or text Kelly at (716) 224-2244. No adoption donation, but must follow same adoption protocol.

Please share our big guy. Somewhere out there is a couch with his name on

❤️ In Loving Memory of Kerry L. Paulson ❤️

Sometimes, kindness reaches us in ways we never expect.

Small Town Shelter was recently made aware that Kerry L. Paulson, who passed away on October 11, 2026, had requested that donations be made to our rescue in his memory.

While we did not have the pleasure of knowing Kerry personally, learning that someone thought enough of our little rescue to include us in their final wishes is incredibly touching.

To Kerry’s family and friends, please accept our heartfelt condolences. We are truly honored that Small Town Shelter was chosen as a way to celebrate his life and carry on his kindness.

Rest in peace, Kerry. Thank you for the kindness you brought to this world. ❤️🐾

May your compassion continue to make a difference in the lives of animals who need it most.

With love and gratitude,
*All of us at Small Town Shelter

🐾❤️ Our sweet Laken is still looking for her forever family! ❤️🐾

We thought we had found the perfect place for this girl, but after reviewing the application, we made the decision that it just wasn’t the right fit.

And that’s okay! Our job is to make sure Laken ends up in a home where she can thrive, not just a home where she can go.

❤️ Laken needs patience, consistency, some training, and most importantly, CHILDREN TO ADORE HER!

This girl absolutely loves kids! She also appreciates the finer things in life, like dog toys, yummy treats, and walks with her foster kiddos. 🥰

Laken is a wonderful girl, but she’s not perfect. She still has things to learn, and we want a family who understands that bringing home a rescue dog takes time, patience, and commitment.

We know her people are out there. We just haven’t found them yet. ❤️

🐾 Adoption donation: $250

📩 Interested in Laken? Please message our page! Our online application link has decided it no longer wants to cooperate 🙄, so we will happily send you our application questions directly through Messenger.

Please consider giving this sweet girl the forever home she deserves!

🐾❤️ MEET MAEVE & MARTY! ❤️🐾

We know the pit bull puppy situation isn’t ideal for every potential adopter, and we completely understand that!

The reality is, Small Town Shelter simply cannot financially afford to bring all of these puppies into our care. However, we also know these pups have a much better chance of finding wonderful homes if they are fully vetted and adopted through our rescue.

So, we’re doing what we can, a little at a time! ❤️

Introducing Maeve & Marty! 🐶🐶

These two were among the first puppies we brought in from the location, and they are now fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find their forever families!

❤️ Adoption donation: $250 each

Maeve and Marty have become very bonded during their time with us. While they do not necessarily need to be adopted together, we would LOVE to see them head off to their new homes on the same day. That way, neither one is left behind wondering where their buddy went. 🥹

Here’s where we need your help!

We have more puppies waiting for their chance, but we need to get these two adopted before we can bring two more into the rescue. We simply don’t have the space or financial resources to do it any other way.

🐾 CONSIDERING ONE OF THE OTHER PIT BULL PUPPIES?

You’re welcome to come meet Maeve and Marty!

These two have the same wonderful temperament we’ve experienced with the other puppies from this location. If you’re considering adopting one of the others but aren’t quite sure what you’re getting yourself into, come spend some time with these two!

Meet them, interact with them, and get a better idea of the personalities we’ve been talking about. ❤️

📩 INTERESTED IN ADOPTING MAEVE OR MARTY?

Send us a message!

Our online application process has decided it no longer wants to cooperate 🙄😂, so for now, we’ll simply send our adoption questions through Messenger.

We’re trying to help as many of these puppies as possible without putting Small Town Shelter in a financial hole we can’t climb out of.

Two adoptions mean two more puppies get their chance. ❤️

Please share and help us find these sweet pups their forever homes!

🐾 If you would like to help with the financial part of finding these pups homes, our Venmo and PayPal can be found on our main page in our About section!

🏈❤️💙 HEY BILLS MAFIA!!! WE HAVE A PROPOSITION! 💙❤️🏈

Small Town Shelter is gearing up for our upcoming fundraiser, and Kelly has a request…

WHO CAN GET US A SIGNED JOSH ALLEN JERSEY?! 👀🏈

I’m willing to offer the FIRST person who can make this happen a FREE SPAY OR NEUTER! 🤣🐾

Before anyone gets too excited, we ARE an animal rescue, and we help our community with low-cost spay and neuter services. I’m not offering to fix any humans! 😂😂

Am I joking? Mostly.
Would I actually make this deal? ABSOLUTELY! 🤣

Our upcoming fundraiser is happening Sunday, November 22, during the Bills game, and can you IMAGINE having a signed Josh Allen jersey to raffle off?!

Our spay and neuter fund took a beating during our recent parvo outbreak, and we’re doing everything we can to build it back up.

So come on, Bills Mafia! Somebody knows somebody who knows somebody! 👀

JOSH ALLEN, IF YOU’RE READING THIS… THE ANIMALS NEED YOU! 😂❤️💙
