I had the privilege and honor to attend the Wyoming Breeders awards banquet at Wyoming Downs this evening to accept awards that would have never been possible without the vision, relentless dedication, and love of horse racing which shaped KC Carden’s vibrant life.

Between him and on behalf of his great friend Gerald Kaul, I accepted awards for:

The “garden” that these two men created is in full bloom, and while I’m so sad that KC is gone, it’s amazing that members of his family and his many friends are able to enjoy it!

A huge thank you to Brande Koltiska and all of the others who put in so much time and effort to make this incredible awards event happen, and very grateful for Governor Mark Gordon, who spoke, presented awards, and is an ardent supporter the racing industry in the state of Wyoming!

We have been notified by a handful of mare owners that AQHA has placed a freeze on Sheldon’s account. It appears that there was a unique colored foal registered by Sheldon that has triggered new color tests to be ordered on Sheldon. We have completed the tests and AQHA has reclassified him as a brown roan (NOT to be confused with bay roan). This means he is able to have all different colors of roan offspring (and non roan). We expect this processing to take 7-10 business days and apologize for any inconvenience it has caused.

That being said Sheldon was also tested for MYHM and is negative making him seven panel negative.
