We can scream for more no kill shelters all day long. Don't get me wrong yes we need them. But overpopulation is a huge part of the problem. These puppies never had a chance. Rescues are full, some rescuers I know are crying daily for the ones they couldn't save. Because they have no fosters no adopters but there are no shortage of babies and mommies and daddies and throw away's! Don't want to see this? Do something!!!! Volunteer, foster ,adopt ,donate ,advocate AND SPAY AND NEUTER!!!!!!!!!!

A little update on Zena. I apologize for being a little slack with keeping the page updated since Zena came along. I will start to post more of our training in the future. Zena has come a long way since we adopted her.

This is a great dog that I got the chance to play with this weekend. WOW!! If you want "drive and focus" this is your boy. He has huge drive and MAJOR focus. When you see him you will see the Border Collie in him. You don't really see it in this picture but when you meet him you will see what I am talking about. He could be your next agility, frisbee dog????????

ADOPTED 4/15!!

This beautiful face belongs to Buddy, a nearly year old lab/pit mix. Buddy weighs 63 pounds and is such a sweet boy. He is well behaved and very calm. He gives great kiss too!

Meet Scooter. He is looking for a furever home.

Here's our man Scooter!!! Scooter is our 5 year old lab/vizsla mix. Scooter is a pretty big guy, tipping the scales at around 75 pounds. He's friendly and sweet and likes kids. He would love a home of his own!!

Dog Days. To end the day I took Doc and did a ring rental at Lucky Dog Academy in Plainfield. Had a great time. Doc started off with a bang but ran out of gas quickly tonight. He did learn how to do a "lap back". I did manage to get him threw one of the hardest courses we have ever done. We practiced our back side jumps. He is really starting to understand "back". His front crosses were absolutely beautiful tonight.

Great dog looking for a home. She has a wonderful temperament!

Come on out meet Kendall this afternoon! Kendall is a 2 year Border Collie mix with a heart of gold. She is so sweet, friendly and has a wonderful temperament! And look how well mannered she is in this photo! Kendall, her 4 puppies and the Dad were the dogs that were found abandoned on Christmas Eve. The rest of the gang have all been adopted, Kendall had to wait to be spayed and now she is READY TO START HER NEW LIFE, TOO!

Zena's day out today. We started out at Rural King in Plano, IL. Then we went to Petsmart in Yorkville. Once we got done there we went to the Petsmart in Oswego. To finish our trip we went back to Rural King to get some more treats. Zena got to meet TONS of people today. She REALLY likes the little kids. Surprising enough she is very gentle with them. We did a LOT of work on sitting and focusing in distractions. We came across a adoption event with LOTS of little dogs barking. Overall she stayed focus pretty good for her first time practicing outside of the house. I was very impressed with her Zena today. One of the MANY things we are wanting to do with Zena is steer her toward being a "ambassa bull" for her breed. We would like to get her involved in doing some child education on how to correctly interact with dogs. Once we get past more of the basic obedience training she will start to do some therapy dog work. Between learning agility and all the other things we have planned for her she is going to be a busy girl for the next couple years. Looking forward to seeing her mature and learn more and more.
