Meet Kevin.
Yes, he is as large as he appears. Possibly larger. Honestly, ācatā feels like an undersell. Kevin is built like a small grizzly bear that learned how to purr. And because heās a Manx, he waddles around the rescue like a fuzzy little bowling ball with opinions.
The best part? As soon as people hear his name is Kevin, they completely lose it. A fat cat named Kevin apparently sends people into orbit. Visitors start giggling immediately and ask if they can take his picture. Kevin has accidentally become a local celebrity with his own paparazzi team.
And honestly? He handles fame very well.
Kevin is sweet, social, and absolutely full of personality. He recently came to us after being diagnosed with diabetes, which unfortunately means all that extra fluff has finally caught up with him and Kevinās pancreas has basically filed a formal complaint against the rest of his body. His previous owners loved him very much, but felt they were unable to commit to the time and medical care his treatment would require long-term, so they made the difficult decision to surrender him so he could get the help he needs.
The good news? Diabetes in cats can sometimes go into remission with proper care, weight loss, diet changes, exercise, and insulin support. We are already working on helping Kevin get healthier, and he is doing great so far!
Now he just needs a family willing to cheer him on through his ābiggest loserā era. Whether through fostering or adoption, Kevin would love a home where he can focus on his health goals while also receiving the love, attention, and couch space he deserves.
And trust us⦠Kevin deserves a LOT of couch space.
