Miss Emily Rose needs a new home!

Emily is a very sweet 8 year old spayed female boxer, who loves people but has unfortunately recently started showing aggression towards the other dogs in her home. Her new home would have to be a single dog family where she can be the star of the show, if you are interested in helping this little lady out, please email Ed at [email protected] for more information!

Have you ever seen a Highlander cat?! Believe it or not, these little cuties are born with their ears like this! They also have plenty of toes, and tiny little nub tails, as if they couldn’t be any cuter. We had so much fun meeting these nuggets and can’t wait to watch them grow!🤍🐱

‼️Kennel cough outbreak‼️

Sheridan county is having a serious increase in kennel cough cases, and it’s important to know all the facts.

Kennel cough is an infectious bronchitis of dogs, characterized by a harsh, hacking cough that most people describe as sounding like “something stuck in my dogs throat”. The incubation period is 2-14 days and dogs are typically sick for one to two weeks. Infected dogs shed the bordetella organisms for 1-3 months following infection. This disease is spread quickly through the air, which is why boarding facilities, dog parks and grooming facilities are where we see the most positive cases. However, kennel cough can be picked up almost any where.

If your dog is coughing or hacking in any way, it is important to keep them away from all other dogs. If you need to bring them in, be sure to call from the parking lot to ensure we keep possible exposure as low as possible!

The face of guilt!

It’s yummy treat season once again, which means we need to be extra watchful over our furry friends!! Little miss Biscuit was sneaky enough to steal an entire loaf of cinnamon raisin bread. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but landed her in our hospital throwing it all up.

Make sure to keep treats out of reach this season! Here is a small list of safe and unsafe snacks that are normally around at this time. If an accident happens and your pup gets a hold of something they shouldn’t, make sure to call us at (307)674-4111, we will be on call all weekend.

Happy thanksgiving, from the MVVH family!🦃🐾
