Introducing Dusty Tracks Training Days! 🐾
We believe training doesn’t only happen in a classroom — it happens in the real world.
Starting in July, we will be hosting FREE Training Days every Tuesday at 6:00 PM!
These will be group working sessions held at different parks and pet friendly stores where you and your dog can practice around real life distractions.
This is a chance to: 🐕 Work on engagement and focus
🐕 Build confidence in new environments
🐕 Practice neutrality around dogs and people
🐕 Strengthen skills you’re already working on
🐕 Meet other dog owners with similar goals
Whether you have a puppy, a sport dog, or just want more exposure and practice, come train with us!
Training isn’t linear — let’s enjoy the process. 🐾

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, we remember and honor the men and women who gave everything in service to this country.

Freedom comes with a cost, and Memorial Day is a reminder to pause, reflect, and recognize those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

🎤 Muzzle Off Monday
Hot Take: Confidence vs obedience.
A dog can be obedient… but not confident.
A dog can be confident… but not obedient.
Some dogs follow commands well in controlled settings but struggle in new environments. Others are bold and curious, but lack structure and reliability.
So which should come first?
Do we build confidence before expecting obedience… or does structure and obedience help create confidence?
And where do you see the biggest gaps- dogs lacking confidence, or dogs lacking clarity and structure?

First event of the year!

Gunner got off the dock, which was all I wanted! He got a personal best of 12'3"!

Zig earned his first ribbon and had a personal best of 20'3"!

Sif also earned her first ribbon and had a personal best of 17'9"!

Everyone got their personal best today and totally rocked it this weekend!

The time has come.

As of today, March 1st, I will no longer be boarding. I have loved all of the babies that have entered my home and all of the owners that have visited with us. Your pets have become family and I truly have loved loving on your babies while they boarded with me.

I do have some recommendations as far as other people to board with, and a trainer I can recommend for those that are searching.

Thank you all for being apart of Dusty Tracks. I love all updates on your babies so don't be afraid to update!
