Get ready to unleash a tidal wave of kindness and transform the lives of our furry friends! 🐾❤️ We're thrilled to partner with Fred Meyer during the month of October for the Howl-O-Ween Pet Food Drive, where every donation will bring hope and nourishment to our dogs at Adopt-A-Pet. Join the movement on our Kickoff weekend, starting Friday, October 2nd, as our dedicated volunteers spread love and compassion at Fred Meyer's (Friday 11:30 AM to 3 PM, Saturday 9 AM to 12 PM, and Sunday 12 PM to 4 PM). Let's come together to create a brighter future for our furry friends! 🎉

I LOVE going for rides with my Momma! Sunday morning was beautiful and the sweetest smells were coming from the dahlia fields, it was pawsome!🐾🏵

👀Big news! At the beginning of the month, we had 9 pit bull mixes in our Shelton dog shelter. Our amazing adoptions team was enthusiastic that we could find every pittie an amazing home during October's Pit Bull Awareness Month, and our Executive Director admits to having her doubts. Could we really find adopters for all these dogs before October was over???

In fact, she said she would dress up in a dog costume and walk around the City of Shelton if we could do it! 🐶

Drumroll please... After only 10 days, five of those pit bulls have already been adopted and 3 are pre-adopted and will go home next week after their spay/neuter surgery! 💗💗💗

Only one pittie remains - Maia. This precious girl is slow to trust, but once she bonds, she is your bestie for life! She is dog selective and will appreciate a calm home with someone able to provide lots of love and a routine that helps her gain confidence.

Maia had a meeting with an adopter today and they are committed to meeting with her again to see if they're the ones for her.

Much love to our incredible staff and volunteer team providing care and adoptions support for all the dogs at our Shelton shelter. And our sincere appreciation to all the pittie lovers who have added these wonderful pups to their families!

Now, let's all wish Maia good luck in finding the family that is just right for her. And then we'll all be rewarded with seeing Katherine spend the day in costume!

Mom & Dad took us to Oysterfest yesterday, it was paws down the most fun! Some pirates put a wig & hat on Mom then started petting her.....it was awkward but Dad seemed to like it. 🤣. They got some nummy food, we got treats and then a nice long nap! 🐾
