🐾❤️ OCTOBER IS NATIONAL PIT BULL AWARENESS MONTH! ❤️🐾
It’s time to BREAK THE STIGMA, BUST THE MYTHS & LOVE THE BREED! 🐶
Here at the Shelton Animal Shelter, we believe every dog deserves to be judged by their individual personality, behavior, and heart — NOT by their appearance or breed label!
A DOG IS MORE THAN ITS BREED LABEL.
Behind those blocky heads, big smiles, muscular bodies, and wagging tails are individual dogs with their own personalities, needs, fears, and incredible capacity for companionship.
Some are couch potatoes. 🛋️
Some are energetic adventurers. 🌳
Some love every person they meet. 🥰
Some need a little extra patience, structure, and understanding. ❤️
And ALL deserve to be treated humanely and given the opportunity to be understood as individuals.
At the Shelton Animal Shelter, we get to know the dogs behind the labels. We learn their personalities, work on their confidence, provide structure and enrichment, and help find homes that are the right fit for THEM.
🐾 THIS OCTOBER, HELP US CHANGE THE NARRATIVE!
Educate instead of stereotype.
Advocate instead of discriminate.
Adopt responsibly instead of judging by appearance.
And most importantly, BE THEIR VOICE. ❤️
Share this post, spread awareness, and help us remind the world that every dog deserves a fair chance.
🐶 Don’t judge the blocky head. Get to know the heart. 🐾❤️
