New student Doobie!

We are working on how he feels when he sees other dogs. He loves people which is truly wonderful. He did an amazing job at his first session. His whole family is involved which is rare and special. I look forward to working with all of them in the coming weeks.

Group Class Week 3. Everyone has made tremendous progress! All of these skills we have built on each week. Now as the dogs have gotten to know each other better, we add the challenge of incorporating each other as the distractions. Team work is critical and everyone supporting each other as well. Clapping for a job well done. Everyone facing the same challenges and learning the same skills. It works so well!

This has been so fun! Two neighbors got puppies at the same time. We've had a mini puppy training class with their two pups. I met one family originally from their other Golden Retriever who took a group class from me many years back. Charlie and Finn are doing so well!

New student Ayla. She just had her 3rd birthday!

As many know I've had German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers for 20yrs. I was also raised with Rottweilers and huskies.

It is a special treat when I get to work with them!

Ayla's family wants her to be well trained so that she can have fun in the giant field in the neighborhood, and pleasant leash walking.

This is a high performance breed and they thrive using their brains. They love to learn.

Oakley celebrated his last training session at a very busy park. We took all of the skills we worked on at their home and practiced at a much higher level of distraction. There was an event happening, tons of kids, dogs playing fetch. Also 3 loose bunnies munching away on the grass. Baby ducks & baby geese! We also used the long line for recall practice.

Zoey did phenomenal on her 3rd training session this week. She did a 30minute polite walk through the neighborhood. We got to practice "heel" for a much longer distance. She also got to practice "leave it" for critters in the neighborhood other dogs and people working in their yards. We also did door knocking drills for what to do when someone comes over.
