Hi everyone,

I just wanted to take a moment to let you all know that my family is going through a difficult time right now. We recently experienced a loss, and my grandma went to be with our Heavenly Father Monday morning.

I will be reaching out to the clients who are currently scheduled this week to get everyone rescheduled, hopefully for next week. Please be patient with me as I work through everything and spend this time with my family.

For the time being, I will not be responding to new booking requests or appointment inquiries until after the funeral and I’ve had some time to grieve.

Thank you all so much for your understanding, patience, and kindness during this time. I truly appreciate each and every one of you and your continued support of my small business. 🤍🐾

✨ MEET YOUR GROOMER! ✨

Since I’ve had quite a few new faces around here lately, I thought it was time to reintroduce myself! 💜

Hi everyone! I’m Taylor, the face behind Grooming by Taylor! 🐶✂️

Here’s a little bit about me:

👑I’m 26 years old
🐶 🐱I have 4 dogs and 2 cats of my own
✂️ I’ve been grooming for about 4 years
🎓 I graduated from Kennedy High School and Kirkwood Community College with my AAS degree in Agricultural Production Management
📍 My salon is located just west of Shellsburg, IA
🐾 I foster through Tails in Transit and also provide grooming services for their dogs at no charge to give back to pups in need.

So how did I get into grooming?

I originally started working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, and that’s where I found my love for dog grooming! That eventually led me into my grooming career, where I had the opportunity to learn and mentor alongside other professional groomers. 🥰

After gaining experience, I decided to take the leap and start my own business. My goal was to create a calm, relaxing, one on one environment where both the dogs and I could feel comfortable. I love being able to give each pup my full attention and make their grooming experience as positive as possible. 🩵🐾

I absolutely LOVE grooming large breeds and doing desheds, but of course, I have a soft spot for all breeds and sizes! 🥰

When I’m not at the salon, you can usually find me enjoying the outdoors! I love spending time boating, camping, attending county fairs, going on motorcycle rides, and most recently, playing sand volleyball. ☀️🏍️🏐

I’m so thankful for every person who has trusted me with their pups and supported my little business. Whether you’ve been following me from the beginning or you’re brand new here, thank you for being here and supporting Grooming by Taylor! 💜

🌴🐾 VACATION MODE! 🐾🌴

Just a little reminder that I am unavailable for the rest of this week while I’m enjoying some much-needed vacation time! ☀️🥰

Sweet Mary is in need of a foster home!💜

✨ From living outside to absolutely fabulous! ✨

A huge thank you to Grooming by Taylor for taking care of sweet Mary! 🐾💗

Mary spent her life living outside before making her way to Iowa and starting her next chapter. Now, she’s clean, fresh, pampered, and looking her very best! 🥹

We’re so grateful for the people who help our rescue pups feel loved and cared for every step of the way.

Thank you, Taylor, for helping Mary feel as beautiful as she is! 🐶✨

P.S Mary is on the hunt for a forever home or at least another foster as her current arrangement is not the best fit with a small dog in the home. Mary is good with other dogs her size that we know of. Message us with any questions or interest! 🥹

Last week flew by, but don’t worry I didn’t forget about the precious faces that came to see me!🥰🐾
