We have some unfortunate news to share. Last night, we discovered Truffles trying to attack one of her babies. We heard the baby's screaming and rushed in to intervene. While she had taken care of them for the first two weeks of their lives, it seems that she became territorial once her babies were old enough to hop out of their nest box on their own. Luckily, we were able to save all the babies and will be bottle raising them until they are old enough to find homes. On the plus side, the babies will be extraordinarily well handled and they seem to be settling in well to their new enclosure! Truffles will be seeking a pet 🏡, away from the stress of mothering if anyone is interested. PM for further information.
