I think it’s time to address something.

This will be the last time someone thinks they can insult me, my staff, or this profession because they “can get their dog groomed for $45 somewhere else.” Please do. No one is forcing you to book here.

But understand this — our pricing reflects the level of care, education, skill, safety, and quality we provide. Attached are receipts showing JUST SOME of the products, tools, and equipment we invest in regularly. That doesn’t even begin to include continuing education, certifications, travel for training, maintenance, utilities, insurance, payroll, taxes, or the physical wear this career puts on our bodies daily.

Only about 3% of groomers pursue continuing education. My staff and I are proud to be part of that percentage. I personally train and work alongside some of the best groomers in the country and bring that knowledge back to my team so we can continue offering the highest standard of care possible.

We are not “just shaving dogs.” We are trained professionals. We understand coat types, anatomy, balance, corrective grooming, hand sc******ng, skin and coat health, behavior handling, and safety protocols. I am also a certified pet cosmetologist and am trusted by many veterinarians to recognize concerns owners may not notice yet, as well as help improve skin and coat conditions properly.

We invest heavily into better products because your pets deserve better products. We invest into education because your pets deserve educated groomers. We invest into our team because your pets deserve safe, skilled hands.

What’s truly insane is the expectation that groomers should destroy their bodies, sacrifice quality, lower standards, and barely survive financially just to make people comfortable with pricing.

We ARE a small business. We are affected by inflation, rising costs, and economic changes just like everyone else. We don’t get a special pass because we work with animals. Our pricing is not so we can “laugh all the way to the bank.” It is literally what it takes to keep the lights on, maintain safety and quality, continue education, pay staff fairly, and stay in business.

If you value cheap over quality, that is your choice. But quality, safety, education, and experience will never be cheap — and they shouldn’t be.

My time at the dog show is complete! I had a great time being able to help Kelly, Kaet and Jonathan over the last 2 days. Watching them work the ring was an amazing opportunity! Clue and I are excited for our next ring side job and being a part of Kelly Knights team in July!
