So I’ve heard the Raleigh Cluster is one of the **hardest places to pull poodle points**… and apparently Clue and I decided that sounded like a great place for only our SECOND show together as a team. 🤣🐩

Clue? She’s got this.
Me? I’m still lost in a wet paper bag. 😂

I’ve officially decided I either need a hearing aid to understand what’s being said in these rings, or I’m making a Walmart run and bringing the judges a karaoke microphone tomorrow. 🎤🤣 Because half the time I’m just standing there like, “Was that for me?? Are we moving?? WHAT ARE WE DOING?!” 😂

BUTTTT… despite her clueless owner-handler, Miss Clue has been awarded **Reserve Winners Bitch TWO DAYS IN A ROW!** 🥳🐩

How many points is that, you may wonder?

✨ ZERO. ✨
A big. Fat. **ZERO.** 🤣🤣🤣

Basically, Reserve Winners Bitch is the AKC version of **FIRST PLACE LOSER**… and you know what?!

**WE’LL TAKE IT!** 😂👏🏻

Because this is only our second time doing this together, I’m still learning where to stand, where to go, what the heck the judge just said, and how not to look completely confused… meanwhile Clue is out here acting like she’s been doing this her whole life. 🤣

Two days down, two Reserve Winners Bitch ribbons, zero points, and a whole lot more experience under our belt.

We’re learning. We’re laughing. And we’re definitely not giving up. ❤️🐩

Now excuse me while I Google “portable karaoke microphone near me.” 🎤🤣

If I could sit down with the version of myself from last September, I don’t think she would believe me. Honestly, I think she’d probably laugh and tell me there was no way. ❤️

I’d tell her that in less than a year, her mentor would be a member of GroomTeam USA… and somehow, along the way, become one of her very best friends. Someone she would travel with, learn beside, laugh with, lean on, and make memories with that go far beyond grooming.

I’d tell her she was going to find herself stepping into the AKC conformation ring—something she never imagined herself doing—and that she would be given the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by one of the best poodle handlers in the sport.

And then I’d tell her about Clue. ❤️🐩

I’d tell her that a little black poodle puppy was going to come into her life and completely change its direction. That Clue wouldn't just become another dog in the pack. She would become my partner, my travel buddy, my reason to push myself into rooms and rings that scared me, and the little girl standing beside me while I discovered an entirely new version of myself.

The crazy part is… last September, I couldn't see any of this coming.👀

I didn't know how many miles I would travel.🚗 How many incredible people I would meet. How many times I would be terrified and do it anyway. How much I would learn, grow, fail, try again, and surprise myself ♥️💕

Sometimes you're so busy living your life that you don't realize you're standing in the middle of things you once couldn't have even imagined for yourself.

If I could tell last September's version of me just one thing, it would be:

**Keep going. Your life and world is about to get a whole lot bigger. 🌎 ❤️**

⏰ **THE COUNTDOWN IS ON… 5 DAYS!** 🐩❤️

In just **5 days**, Clue and I will be back in the AKC conformation ring for **5 intense days of back-to-back showing at the Tarheel Cluster!** 🏆🐩

Think we’re done after that? 🤣 **NOPE.**

We’ll drive home Monday night, and Tuesday morning I’ll be right back at the salon working a full grooming schedule. Then, as soon as the last kid is finished… we hit the road AGAIN! 🚗💨

Next stop ➡️ **Hershey, Pennsylvania**, for **5 days at the largest grooming expo!** ✂️🐩

We’ll get home from Hershey Monday night and—because apparently I enjoy living life on hard mode 🤣—I’ll be right back behind the grooming table Tuesday for a full work week!

So starting Wednesday, **Clue and I will officially be on the road for almost TWO WEEKS!** Between the AKC ring, grooming, traveling, learning, and everything in between, it’s going to be exhausting… but these are exactly the opportunities I’ve worked so hard for. ❤️

The rest of the Whiskers crew is ready to hold down the salon and cheer us on from home! And our groomer **Monica will be joining me again Saturday evening through Monday at the Tarheel Cluster!** ❤️🐩
