It has been 9 years since I started hiking with dogs. Some of my original dogs are still hiking with me today! Unfortunately, that also means our time with these dogs is now becoming a borrowed privilege.. Gatsby is one of those dogs. He has been hiking with me for 6 years now. He was diagnosed with Leukemia, at the end of last year, and had to stop hiking with us. If he were stuck with a stick, or poked by a barbed wire fence, he could bleed out and die. I truly believe these dogs are living longer lives beyond their expectancy because of dog camp. They simply thrive when they are wild and free! It just became too dangerous to continue bringing him with us. His new sister has since, taken his place in my pack 💓 Last week, his owner, following veterinary approval, brought Gatsby out to hike with us!! It was a beautiful day and just amazing to have him back by my side 🤎 Bonus; she took so much footage of me and my pack. I felt like it was a great idea to create some content and re-start my business page, after being quiet here for so long. It is so cool to see a different perspective of what I do, from someone else’s eyes. I’m still out here, living my best life with my dog pack. I hope you love seeing this, like I do 🥰🐾🐾🐾
