Allow me to reintroduce myself…
I’m Jenna, your local animal enthusiast. I’m kind of a geek about animals and the people who love them.
I graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Biology degree emphasizing ecology, evolution, and behavior with a minor in nutrition. Focusing in these areas helped me develop a perspective that considers each animal both as an individual and as a part of the family ecosystem, and I maintain that outlook as I keep up with my ever-growing agenda of continuing education.
When I realized that families need help during the day for their animals to reach their training and behavior goals, I decided I wanted to develop in-home services for enrichment and day training. Let’s face it, it’s a busy world we live in, and sometimes our pets’ needs get put on the backburner.
One of my own dogs, Orpington, came home with some behavior challenges rooted in fear and anxiety. In order to help him recover, I needed more time devoted to practice and training than I had at the end of the day. Navigating my journey with him and sharing our experience showed me that there are many other families just like ours.
My approach centers on finding the heart of problem behaviors and addressing them with compassion and optimism. I strongly believe in ethical, science-based training methods that prioritize behavioral and emotional welfare. Taking an enrichment-focused approach helps families better understand how to support their animals and share a happy, healthy life.
We love our quirky animals, and those with behavioral challenges or higher energy might need more than a quick walk around the block after waiting all day at home. Practical day training and enrichment takes some of that pressure off, letting you come home knowing your best friend had a great day and is ready to help you decompress as well.
In my opinion, that’s why sharing our lives with these creatures is all about: the world can be a little cloudy, but they’re our Silver Linings 🌥
