Winter is around the corner folks. Depending on your geographic location, this could mean snow.

🏠 Wild animals will naturally seek warm, winter havens in the holes, crooks and crannies left unsealed or not repaired around your structures and property. A quick wildlife-proofing inventory goes a long way towards compassionate prevention. Exclusionary methods are great DIY projects that can be done early on before an animal overstays their welcome.

⚠️ Please reconsider using deadly, cruel products such as rodenticides as a 'quick fix'. These toxic substances are cruel and cause secondary poisoning of species that consume rodents and other small mammals. The accumulative impact destroys immuno-response, health and resiliency of consumers. Raptors, canids, ermine, reptiles and free roaming domestic pets to name a few are impacted by secondary rodenticide poisoning.

🚨 REMINDER: Endangered species still need your help!

The Safeguarding Endangered Species Act, H.R. 9901, introduced by Representatives Brian Fitzpatrick and Mike Quigley, would nullify the Trump Administration’s final rule that weakens the Endangered Species Act’s (ESA) protections against destructive habitat loss.

The rule redefines “harm” to exclude habitat destruction under the ESA, a change that will severely impact species that depend on specific habitat and populations that are already fragmented by development. Species, like wolves, that are wide-ranging and rely on large swaths of land are especially vulnerable and can be harder to protect under the new rule.

Without intervention, this rule change could spell extinction for countless species.
