I can't believe the little Veloceraptor is already 4 months old!! She's gained 15 lbs nearly doubling in size, sprouted legs, and is missing so many teeth. In fact today she lost her 9th tooth.

She's doing well in handling class, she's almost finished her puppy classes, has all of her shots and is all around a fantastic puppy.

It doesn't seem possible that we're already here but we are enjoying every step

Wow! What an honor to be taking FIVE dogs to the FastCAT Invitationals in Branson, MO this year.
Mini Americans:
Firenze #2
Thestral #3
Abraxan #7

Cattle Dogs:
Rose #1
Doom #5

As many of you know, Firenze is the Sire of Brax and Thestral, but also Rose and Doom are full siblings!
The nephew of Firenze is also invited as the #10 MAS; we handled Mackinaw last year.

Let's just say, FastCAT Invitationals Runs in the Family

Surprise surprise!
We've been holding on to a little gem 💎 of a secret.
A new family member has joined the ranks here at Mythos. And surprise! Its not a MAS. I knew at some point I would want to add a Beauceron into the pack, I just didn't know it would be as soon as it was.

This little veloceraptor is fitting in perfectly her first week home, the others are taking turns teaching her the ropes, and she's getting the hang of it. She's already such a fun addition and I can't wait to see where we go together. Just like the rest of the Mythos crew, she will do whatever it is she wants to do. And I am hoping for the chance to show her!

Oh Boy, here we go!!
NACSW is one of those events where its all or nothing.
I signed Brax up for her first trial. She had never worked vehicles and we practice those a week ago with some AKC odor i had handy (this could have changed the 'Picture' for her on what that search is supposed to look like.)
Not only that, but poor thing came into heat last week and definitely not feeling her best. Very needy in standing heat. She had to wear britches at the trial and be last in line which meant even more waiting. Thankfully it was not the longest wait we've had.

Today in her first Level 1 NACSW trial, Brax went 4 for 4 in all of her searches and even took 3rd in containers.
Not only that, Brax also walked away with the coveted ✨Pronounced️✨️ ribbon. This ribbon is awarded by the judges giving you a "P" on your scores in every one of your searches. The P means you and your dog work as an excellent team, the judges saw something special in you and your dog, and maintain a positive and fun attitude the whole time. Pronounced is something you strive for. And today? We walked away as a Pronounced Team.

Congrats to Braxy on her NW1 title!!

Abraxan had an amazing weekend at the Natural State Golden Retriever Club Scentwork Trial!!
We had a goal and we achieved it.
We got all 4 Q's for Novice, a 1st, (2) 2nd, and a 3rd.
She finished her SCN, SBN, SIN, SEN and her SWN titles! With a total run time of 1 min 59.2 sec, she also won High In Trial for Novice dogs. Out of all levels and all dogs, only 2 qualified in the running for HIT.
I moved her up to Advanced, knowing she could handle it. She Q'd in Containers with a 2nd place, Exteriors with a 4th, and Interiors with a very slow but problem solving search. Buried was last and she was tired and hit on the box next to Anise resulting in an NQ.

I am SO proud of her this weekend and her hard go-getting.

Abraxan had her ORT today with NASCW and cleared her searches in about 21 seconds or less each. She had a blast today and so did I. I guess we are gearing up for our first NW1 in June!

Ambrosia walked away from NADD Nationals as the Lap Distance Senior Champion!!

It was a crazy week for both of us. It was not only MY first NADD Nationals but it was hers as well. I worked the entire event as one of the photographers and Ambrosia was the biggest helper and supporter. We had a week of just me and her and had a blast doing it.
I didn't know how she would handle being in a huge building for dock. She hates being at oklahoma city because its a very overwhelming event. But she surprised me at Nationals and held it together for me.
We finished prelims in 6th place but with the slate wiped clean, we went into finals with the other top 15 dogs..
I told Ambrosia that I would be happy if she jumped 12 feet. She jumped 12' 8" her first jump. That would put us in the running for the top 10 placements! I wrung her out (long hair dog problems) and kissed her noggin. Told her good job and that she had this. Little did I know, she was saving the best for last. Bro jumped 12'11"!!! That's the absolute maximum for her division and it put her in first place.

Ambrosia was awarded a beautiful rosette, a trophy and a new KLIMB!!
Im so proud of her and her performance. She worked so hard for me and definitely got all the best snuggles and snacks (like pizza bones from the photography crew). She was spoiled as per usual that week by everyone and she had a great time.
She Unleashed her Superhero!

Introducing your 2025 Lap Distance Senior Champion, Ambrosia!

Introducing your 2025 Best of Breed Winner for Miniature American Shepherds at the FastCAT Invitationals!!
Firenze started his warm up in Fayetteville, AR by running 3 runs there and then we made the long trek to Wilmington, Ohio, where he ran twice Tuesday, and once each day on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
He ended up earning his FCAT7 on Wednesday.

Over the course of 8 runs, he stayed extremely consistent running anywhere from a 7.25 to a 7.333
That alone is an amazing feat.

We had an amazing run off with Neptune, who had a rough week but ran well.
Sadly, Presto earned an invite but did not get to run. I had her signed up but she came up lame Sunday night. Not only that she was extremely sick Tuesday night and ended up at the vet Wednesday.

Brax absolutely stepped up to the plate this weekend and told me she was ready for more. We entered her first AKC Scentwork trial after only doing odor imprinting and 2 classes.
Yesterday she was 4 for 4 Qs and in the running for High in Trial.
Today she was 4 for 4 again and TOOK the Novice A High in Trial with a total search time of 1 min and 28.63 sec.

Surprise surprise!!
The little demon got a NATIONAL invite!!
Im so incredibly proud of Abraxan and the effort shes put in in her first year of dock diving. She may not jump the furthest, but shes doing well enough to get a National Invite.
