These are the three English angora rabbits I ended up picking up in Arizona. Two of them are who I expected to bring back and one was a last minute surprise…

These bunnies were rescued off craigslist by an individual who had planned to vet them and find homes herself, but she quickly became overwhelmed by the cost and amount of upkeep for multiple additional rabbits. She did shave their matted fur though, at least for the adult male and female.

I was originally supposed to pick up one neutered male, one unfixed male (first photo), and one unfixed female (second photo). However, upon picking them up the person who rescued them had decided to keep the neutered male and instead asked me to take another young female (last photo) that she had just picked up.

This means there is an additional surgery cost that I had not anticipated when I agreed to take three. More money to raise, as always.

Anyways, the two adults are pretty underweight but otherwise they are beautiful and seemingly healthy now that the worst of the matting has been shaved off. The young girl has a few mats but nothing too bad and her weight is better than the other two, but can still use some improvement.

If you want to donate to help these sweet fluffs, it would be so appreciated! Please also leave name suggestions below 🩵

Here are the babies I picked up yesterday! They’re right around two weeks old so they all have eyes open. We’ve got some very unique coloring going on so far so I’m interested to see how they grow 🩵

Their mama got three MASSIVE botflies removed today 🤢 She still needs to get her CT scan so please send funds our way to help her.

🆘EMERGENCY VET FUNDS NEEDED!🆘

⚠️ Trigger Warning: Open wounds! ⚠️

A little over two weeks ago we were made aware of this bunny that an individual family had rescued from a neglect/abuse situation. They asked if we could take her because she had tangled her foot in a blanket and they thought she might have a broken leg. Luckily that ended up not being a break and they planned to keep her, but then she gave birth a couple days later. I was going out of town so they said they would foster her until I got back.

Well, all but one of the babies has made it so far, despite mom also having coccidia and intestinal worms (already being treated) making her very underweight. However, what I didn’t realize was that mama has two open, infected wounds and partial facial paralysis - which need to be addressed ASAP!

If I had known about the open wounds I would have had them take her into the vet sooner but I had no idea. I believe the wounds are from bot flies but the one on her shoulder has definitely become a massive abscess. The other is on her throat and thankfully isn’t quite as bad but it’s a more delicate area.

The facial paralysis (you can see in the first pic how her right side is not even with the left) is something we’ll likely need to get a head CT for to make sure there isn’t anything serious going on.

We are going to need all the help we can get for this girl and her vet bills! Every single dollar counts. Don’t be worried that any donation is too low. They all add up to make a huge difference. 🙏

Still on our way home and should be back in Oklahoma late tonight. It’s been slow going with multiple fluffy bunnies who need frequent water stops.

In the mean time, I’ll introduce one of the five new bunnies! This little man is just a baby, no more than 3-4 months old.

He was found as a stray out in the desert and had nowhere else to go, but luckily I reached out to a friend who agreed to foster since I knew I’d be coming out that way. Very luckily post-Easter dump since it’s that time of year and he’s just the right age to have been purchased around the holiday.

He’s very scared but he’s safe and he’ll soon learn that not all people are going to abandon him or mistreat him.

If you have a name suggestion, leave one below! 👇

Chicken Nugget and French Toast say that they’re disappointed in the lack of donations and interaction for the new incoming bunnies. There are a total of five coming back from Arizona and they really need your support.

PS: Chicken Nugget really isn’t as thick as he looks in this picture. He’s her a mini rex (naturally round) and it’s very zoomed in 😂
French Toast is also missing her top eyelashes from an injury when she was young, which is why her eye looks so pink.

In the morning we are picking up FIVE bunnies to bring back to Oklahoma. Here are three of them, and we really need your support.

These bunnies have been staying with a kind foster who has helped to get them cleaned up a bit, but they still have a ways to go to be healthy, spayed/neutered ready to find forever homes.

Every dollar counts and goes toward their medical bills! Thank you again for your support so we can continue helping bunnies in multiple states. 🫶

Tristan told me he would really like timo have an adopter lined up by the time I get back to Oklahoma next week. Here are his qualifications:

Handsome and adorable ✅
Loves attention ✅
Absolutely hilarious ✅

Seriously, how can anyone look at this cuteness and not want to take him home?!

Isolde and Homer got adopted together over the weekend! Their adopter fell in love with Isolde first and said she could pick whoever she wanted as a partner. She picked Homer and they were such an easy bond, and not to mention adorable together. 🩵

I also just dropped off two more bunnies with their adopters in New Mexico! Stay tuned for more adoption announcements over the next several days.

Ever wondered how I clean the sanctuary building without stepping on bunnies? One half at a time!

They hate this very much because being in the way is actually their favorite group activity. They take chewing my shoes and trying to trip me very seriously, so they don’t take kindly to me balking their efforts with this tiny fence.

Wait until they hear it’s about time for nail clipping day too, then they’re really going to riot (like they always do).
