The beautiful powerful Cane Corso puppy will be 150lbs dog. Owning this breed takes a lot of responsibility. This couple followed through with every guidance I gave. They have another Male In tact Cane Corso at home. To have safety in their home and around their property strict etiquette is needed. This pup loved to work and she is on her way to strong obedience.

Dogs and Fireworks. Dogs and Fireworks don't mix: As a local dog trainer, I wanted to give some helpful hints on what to do during the next few days as people celebrate the 4th of July.

As many of you dog owners know, that most of our fur babies are not a fan of fireworks. Try these things to help your dog:

*Earlier in the day, make sure they have get some good exercise.
*Keep them inside. If they are used to a crate, put them in a crate during the most active hours with a blanket over top of it to absorb noise.
*Turn on symphony music just a little bit louder than you would normally listen to it. Do this today and everyday to desensitize them. Try doing this a few hours before the celebrations start.
*Don't act differently or acknowledge their fear. This will feed the anxiety.
*Make sure they have their collar and tags on. Many will try and run away on potty breaks.
*Use a chest wrap with an ace bandage or a "thunder wrap". This is similar to swaddling a baby to calm them.
*Don't walk them off leash. They will escape if startled.
*Give them a special chew toy or their Kong with peanut butter and kibble.
