We have some pretty adorable faces waiting to meet you at the City of Shasta Lake Animal Shelter! 🐱❤️

🩶🤍 LIL SIS

Lil Sis is an adorable grey and white female kitten with a BIG personality! She is fun, rambunctious, playful and full of kitten energy. This little girl also has quite the survival story — she was found on the I-5 southbound freeway! 😳 She is incredibly lucky to be alive, and now she deserves the chance to grow up safe and loved in a home of her own.
Lil Sis is currently seeking an adopter so that we can get her on the schedule to be altered. 🏡

We are also still looking for an adopter for sweet Arnold! Arnold is a young adult orange and white male with an incredibly loving, calm demeanor. He is such a gentle guy and would love to find someone to call his own. Once Arnold has an adopter lined up, we can get him on the schedule to be altered too!

Arnold is about a year old and is the sweetest orange-and-white boy. Mostly white with beautiful orange markings, he’s handsome, affectionate, and a little chatty. ❤️ He loves people and is the kind of cat who will happily sit with you and tell you all about his day. 🥹

Right now, Arnold is waiting for his person to find him. He needs to get scheduled for his neuter, and then he’ll be ready to start the next chapter of his life in a forever home. 🏡❤️

His adoption fee is $143 and includes:
✨ Neuter
✨ Microchip
✨ Core vaccine
✨ Rabies vaccine

“Hey, Arnold!” 👋😸

Okay, we’ll admit it… when we named this handsome boy Arnold, we were absolutely thinking of Hey Arnold! 😂

And just like the Arnold we all remember, our Arnold is one seriously lovable little guy!

Arnold is a younger adult kitty, about a year old, with the sweetest personality. He’s an orange-and-white boy who is mostly white, with a beautiful, shiny coat and the most adorable orange markings. But his good looks are only the beginning. ❤️

Arnold is a total lover who enjoys being around people and will happily chat with you when he has something to say. 🥹 He’s the kind of kitty who makes you stop for a minute just to give him some attention because he’s simply that sweet.

Arnold is currently waiting for his person to come along so he can get on the schedule for his neuter and start his next chapter in a forever home. 🏡❤️

🖤Meet Nori! Our little love bug is looking for her person.🖤

Nori is a silly, affectionate black kitten with a purr that sounds like a freight train! 🚂💕 She’ll climb all over you, and if you’re standing near her kennel, don’t be surprised if she launches herself right onto your chest. She is truly one of those kittens who just wants to be loved — and she has SO much love to give.

Nori has been recovering from a respiratory infection, and we believe she is in the recovery phase. She still has a little nasal dripping, though, so for now she needs a special adopter who can give her a little extra time and keep her separated from other cats in the home while she finishes recovering. 🏡🖤

We would absolutely love to get this girl on the schedule to be spayed, but first she needs someone willing to step up and give her the loving home she deserves.

If you have a quiet space where Nori can recover and you’re looking for an incredibly sweet, goofy, affectionate kitten, please consider meeting her! She may need a little extra patience right now, but this girl is worth it. 🥹🖤

🚨 RESCUE NEEDED ASAP FOR MOMO 🚨

***SHELTER IS FULL***

Meet Momo, a French Bulldog currently at Shasta Lake Animal Shelter. ❤️

Momo came to us as an owner surrender after his previous owner reported resource-guarding behavior involving the owner and an incident involving their child.

At his intake appointment, Momo did display concerning behavior toward his previous owner. Since being separated from his previous home, however, our staff have not observed the reported behavior on leash, but he does resource guard his kennel.

Momo is currently not neutered.

We are unable to place him up for adoption through our shelter, due to his behavioral concerns.

Our shelter is also completely full, and we urgently need a qualified rescue to step forward for him.

🙏 We are asking rescues to please consider Momo ASAP. We want to give him the opportunity to move into an appropriate rescue setting where his behavior and needs can be properly evaluated and managed.

He has been to dog trainers as reported by the previous owner and you can see this in the video because he knows several tricks, he’s a good boy.

Beau is a handsome 6-year-old Kelpie, Border Collie, McNab, and Pit mix who is looking for his forever home.

This boy is ball obsessed! 🎾 He could play fetch all day long and never seem to run out of energy. He also absolutely loves the water, so an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures would be a fantastic match for him.

Beau is a good boy with a sweet personality. He gets along well with other dogs, both male and female. He is already neutered and ready to find his new family. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs will still be required to make sure everyone is a good fit.

Beau was surrendered by his owner because they were unable to relocate with him due to apartment restrictions. None of that changes how deserving he is of a loving, permanent home.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who will happily chase a ball, splash in the water, and be your adventure buddy, Beau may be your guy! 🐶💙

These are the many faces of Bodie. 🥹💙

The goofy face.

The huge smile.

The tongue hanging out. 😂

The happy boy playing in the yard.

The face of a dog who is simply LOVING LIFE when he gets a chance to be outside of his kennel. But there is one picture that stands out from all the others to me. The one in the middle. Bodie behind the kennel fence. That is Bodie’s reality.

Bodie was picked up as a stray on July 8th, and since then, that kennel has been his home.

Those big, happy smiles you see in the other pictures happen when I get him out into the yard. He gets to run, play with his toys, splash around, be goofy and just be Bodie. Then playtime ends and he goes back behind that fence. 💔

Soon we will be receiving a couple of dogs due to unforeseen health circumstances with their owner. And with incoming strays continuing to come through our doors, Bodie will be at risk. I don’t say that to scare anyone. I say it because this is the reality of a small shelter with only so much space.

In just a few days, there could be a decision that has to be made to create room for dogs who need somewhere to go and the thought of that decision involving Bodie absolutely breaks my heart because Bodie is a GOOD BOY. He isn’t asking for anything extraordinary. He wants someone to throw his toys. Someone to let him splash in a kiddie pool. Someone to laugh at those ridiculous faces. Someone to give him belly rubs and treats. Someone who will look at him and say, “You’re home, Bodie.” 💙

He was already abandoned once when he was left to fend for himself.

Please don’t let his story end behind a kennel fence.

PLEASE give Bodie a chance.

Come meet the goofy, happy boy you see in all those pictures and help make sure that the picture in the middle is NOT his future.

He needs you just as much as you may need him. 💙

Buddy is hoping for some meet and greets!

Buddy is a gorgeous 4-year-old Great Pyrenees/Siberian Husky mix with a super sweet, playful, and fun personality! He has a unique liver-and-white coat and the cutest little eyebrows. 🥰

Buddy loves hanging out with his person. He’s perfectly happy to sit or lay right next to his hooman and relax, but he’s also a younger adult dog who loves to play, be silly, and have fun!

He’s treat-motivated, takes treats gently, knows how to sit, and has done well with female dogs. He’s truly such a special guy looking for someone to call his own. ❤️

Buddy does need special food for gastrointestinal issues, but don’t let that stop you from meeting this amazing boy!
