When a domestic violence suspect with a history of violent felony offenses refused to surrender and hid inside a Colorado Springs home, K9 Zev helped bring the situation to a safe conclusion.

After officers made entry and cleared the home, Zev was deployed to locate the suspect. Using his training and instincts, Zev alerted officers to a bedroom closet where the suspect was hiding. Faced with the reality that Zev had found him, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

Stories like this show just how valuable K9s are. Zev's work helped officers safely locate a potentially dangerous suspect while reducing risk to everyone involved. 🐾💙

Today, we honor the life and legacy of a K9 Satu, a dedicated protector, and a true hero.

A police canine’s service is defined by unwavering loyalty, courage, and a willingness to run toward danger to keep others safe. Through countless hours of training, deployments, and service to the community, they stand beside their handlers without hesitation, asking for nothing in return except the chance to do their job.

As we say goodbye, we remember not only the work accomplished by K9 Satu but also the bond shared, the lives touched, and the legacy left behind.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unconditional loyalty. Your watch may be over, but your impact will never be forgotten.

Cleaning up the streets of Milwaukee one sniff at a time!!!

While conducting surveillance Milwaukee Police Department - District Two Violent Crime Reduction Team (VCRT) observed a drug transaction in a vehicle.

Officer Whitelys' K9 Thor "hit" on both vehicles and drugs were recovered from each as well as more drugs and a firearm from inside a residence. A 42-year-old female and a 40-year-old male were taken into custody. Charges will be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.
