High Horses Therapeutic Riding Program offers equine assisted activities and therapies to people with special needs. We have been serving residents of the Upper Connecticut River Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont since 1993. We are one of only three programs in Vermont whose standards meet the demanding criteria to attain "Premier Accreditation" by PATH intl.

We're Hiring! Barn Assistant (Part-Time)

High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services in Sharon, Vermont is looking for a dependable, hardworking Barn Assistant to support daily horse care and barn operations. This is a part-time position (20–25 hours/week) with a schedule that includes weekends and split shifts (morning and afternoon/evening blocks). Flexibility is important, as hours may vary based on herd and program needs.

This role is hands-on, physical, and essential to keeping the barn running safely and smoothly.

💙For decades, Ellen Zaika has been a vital part of the High Horses Community. As a dedicated practitioner of equine-assisted services, Ellen has spent many years supporting clients and building a successful volunteer program while staying abreast of changes in an ever-evolving industry.

💙Ellen has contributed to High Horses in myriad ways over the years serving as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) and as our Volunteer Coordinator and Site Manager.

💙A valued colleague, Ellen has brought enthusiasm and creativity to positively impact the lives of countless clients, while selflessly supporting High Horses' mission and growth. We will miss her dearly, but take heart in the knowledge that she will remain part of our loyal volunteer corps.
