Air quality is expected to be poor over the next few days due to smoke from Canadian wildfires.

We recommend not riding or exercising horses while smoke is present, especially horses with asthma or other respiratory concerns. The heat also increases the risk, so it is best to avoid unnecessary exertion. When in doubt, skip the ride.

POSTPONED!!
Good morning, friends. Tomorrow's show is officially postponed.
This decision was not made lightly, but with a forecast high of 95°, real feel of 101° by 11:00 AM and 107° by 3:00 PM, combined with questionable air quality from the Canadian smoke, we fear that the health and safety of both horses and humans would be in jeopardy. Leigh polled our participating trainers, and all are in favor of rescheduling.
We're working on a new date and will announce ASAP. Meanwhile, please stay hydrated, stay safe, and we thank you for understanding.

In the hope of shortening the day and getting ahead of Saturday's heat, START TIME IS NOW 7:30 A.M. IN BOTH ARENAS!
We will also modify our courses to help move the day along.

To each of you who helped make yesterday's show successful, we thank you.
Superb judges Jenny Old-Powell and Skip Reese. Great food from Tammy and the Snack Shack crew. Wonderful camaraderie among all of our exhibitors, trainers, helpers, and parents--especially you awesome show dads! Happy Father's Day to y'all!
And the weather--warm, but not terribly humid, and the breeze kept things livable all day. What a blessing!
To the friends we hadn't seen for a while, welcome back!

After weighing all available options with careful and prayerful consideration, we’re rescheduling today’s show for NEXT SATURDAY, JUNE 20.
Skip Reese and Jenny Old-Powell will judge for us. Start time 8:00 A.M. both arenas. Tammy will preside over the Snack Shack as usual, so count on great food choices at reasonable prices!
If you pre-entered for June 13, your entries are saved; you only need to notify us of changes or scratches.

Whippoorwill Farm is a hunter/jumper equestrian facility. Celebrating 27 years of operation near Shacklefords, VA, the farm features a 25 stall barn, two outdoor jumping arenas, and just-finished covered arena. Boarding, training, and lessons are offered.
