Good afternoon, friends!
It truly breaks our hearts that we are unable to host one last show of the season this weekend. We are simply unable to prepare, as Leigh is seriously ill. After two trips to the ER this past weekend, she was admitted to the hospital and underwent emergency surgery earlier this week. Healing and recovery will understandably take time.
Several of you have offered your help, and we are grateful. At this time, Leigh asks only for your prayers, and sends her love.
We’ll keep in touch. Please stay safe and stay well, everyone!

Friends, it's too wet.
We hate to, but we must cancel tomorrow's VHSA Associate Horse Show. We've already received much more rain than forecast, and it's still raining. We won't have rideable arenas nor solid parking.
Please stay safe and dry, everyone, and we'll keep in touch!

WHIPPOORWILL FARM'S 10/17 HORSE SHOW MOVED TO 10/18!
Friends, every time tomorrow's forecast is updated, it looks worse. The expected rain and wind are just not ideal for a horse show! So after much prayer, consideration, and consultation, WE ARE MOVING OUR SHOW TO SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18!
Judges will be Carla Francis and Mary Upshur.
Start time 8:00 A.M. as usual. Snack Shack as usual.
And ... a COSTUME CLASS!
By request, we will hold a Costume Class in the Pixi Memorial Arena, immediately after all "regular" divisions are completed. Entry Fee will be $10 plus a donation to Middlesex Pet Friends for Life! Suggested/most needed items listed on attached flyer.
Because of this sudden but necessary change, we're re-opening pre-entry through noon tomorrow, at whippoorwill farm dot net forward slash horse dash shows (website link is also on our profile page; F*acebook won't allow posting the actual link here!), where you may also download our prizelist.

Our WFHSA Championship Show (aka "Finals") was a truly amazing day!
The rain held off. The wind challenged but improved. We watched two arenas full of lovely exhibitors; had superb judging from Kimberlea Gilbertson and Mary Upshur; Tammy kept us all well-fed; and most importantly, the warmth and camaraderie were felt by all! Thank you to everyone who attended as a rider, trainer, parent, or helper, and HUGE thanks to Leigh, Meg, and the Whippoorwill staff for going above and beyond as always!

Our last show of the 2026 season will be this Saturday, October 17, rescheduled from July 18. Barbara Kahle and Tara Allen will judge. Pre-entries are open through 9 PM Wednesday, October 14, at whippoorwill farm dot net forward slash horse dash shows (FB won't let me post the actual link!), where you may also download our prizelist.
Updated points will be sent ASAP!

Fall decorations in both the Jackson and the Pixi Arenas! Please don't forget your donations for Middlesex Pet Friends for Life! There will be a table set up where you can place your items for the shelter. Most urgent needs are listed on the flyer.

COUNTING THE DAYS TIL FINALS!
That's right, Whippoorwill Farm Horse Show Association's Championship Show is this Saturday, October 10. WFHSA members will receive DOUBLE POINTS at this show only (note-NOT double VHSA points!). Kimberlea Gilbertson and Mary Upshur will judge. Start time 8:00 A.M.
Pre-entries accepted through 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 7, at whippoorwill farm dot net forward slash horse dash shows (because Facebook won't allow me to post the actual link! 🙄), where you may also download our prizelist. Thanks to those of you who have already pre-entered!
We'll be collecting donations for Middlesex Pet Friends for Life at the show. Please see the attached flyer for the shelter's most needed items, and bring your contributions to the show. Let's do what we can to help!
AND, just a week from Finals, our rescheduled show from July 18 will be October 17, and we hope to see you all again.

Just two shows to go, friends!
Our next VHSA Associate Horse Show is October 10--our Whippoorwill Farm Horse Show Association Championship Show (aka Finals), where WFHSA members will receive DOUBLE POINTS!*
Kimberlea Gilbertson and Mary Upshur will judge.
We will be collecting items for our friends at Middlesex Pet Friends for Life. Their top necessities are outlined in the attached flyer, so please take a look and bring your donations to our 10/10 show❤️

We made it!
Except for a couple of brief, very light sprinkles, the rain held off and the show went ON! Deepest gratitude to judges Jennifer Traylor and Carly Woolfolk, to Leigh, Meg, and the entire Whippoorwill staff, to Tammy for keeping everyone fed, and of course to all exhibitors, trainers, parents, and helpers who attended!
