From flight ➡️ Thinking 💭 Did you know a horse cannot run and think logically at the same time? Running is a survival reaction (instinctive.) By redirecting the flight response into a physical task, you turn on the ‘logical thinking side’ of the brain. This filly was LOCKED in flight mode. Pressure she didn’t like? RUN. A feeling she didn’t like? RUN. Scary object? RUN. Giving them the tools to set them up for their first few rides (and all the rest) are so important. More videos to come!

Educating yourself is the best thing you can do for your horse! Improper wrapping of any kind can lead to ligament damage, bowed tendons and restricted blood flow.

Too hot to really do much and I didn’t have time to drag the arena so more ground work it is!

She’s starting to get more of a personality and becoming a lot less reactive. Super please with how she free lunged, as when she first started on just a lunge line she’d take off! Now she’s willingly sticking by me.

I’m sorry Remi, the .5 camera setting is not very flattering, but it will do 🤣
