📣 Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort - Sewickley is hiring dog handlers!

We are looking for responsible, hard working, pet loving employees to join our team! Must be dedicated and understand the importance of properly caring for dogs and cats and flexible with scheduling week to week, including weekends and holidays.

👉Part time positions available
👉Competitive wages, employee perks, holiday pay, fun work environment, IRA plan, quarterly tip outs and bonuses
👉Must be 18 and have reliable transportation
👉Must have an eye for detail and MUST LOVE DOGS! 🐶 🐾

This job entails monitoring and maintaining indoor and outdoor play groups and areas. Must be able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours a day, and must be comfortable with all breeds/ sizes of dogs. Must be able to effectively communicate to other staff members and clients.

The job duties include, but are not limited to:
👉Maintaining play yards (cleaning up poo!)
👉Cleaning and maintaining suites for overnight guests
👉Following directions for feeding and medicating of overnight guests
👉Cleaning and disinfecting of all areas inside and outside of the facility
👉Monitoring play yard to ensure all dogs are getting along and separated accordingly
👉Ensuring our guests receive top notch care

This person must be willing to work in any type of weather and must have their own means of reliable transportation.

Do you love dogs and cats? Are you dependable, hardworking, and looking for a fun, fast-paced position, where no two days are the same? We’d love to meet you!

We’re currently looking to add Dog Handlers to our Paws Pack! 🐕🐩🐾

We’re searching for team members who:
🐾 Show up on time and are ready to work
🐾 Love animals and understand the importance of providing exceptional care
🐾 Follow directions and work well as part of a team
🐾 Have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
🐾 Are 18 years old + with reliable transportation

This is an active position that requires being on your feet for up to 8 hours a day and working comfortably around dogs and cats of all breeds and sizes.

☀️ 🐾 Heat Advisory for This Week 🐾 ☀️

With dangerously high temperatures expected this week—especially Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, when it’s forecasted to be near 100°F—the safety of our furry guests is our top priority.

As we head into the busy holiday weekend, our pet resort is completely full with boarding dogs. If your pup is scheduled for daycare this week and you’re able to keep them home relaxing in the air conditioning, we would greatly appreciate it.

For all dogs in our care, outdoor time will be limited to frequent potty breaks only, with the majority of the day spent indoors in our climate-controlled facility where they’ll stay cool, comfortable, and safe.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we navigate this extreme heat. Working together helps us ensure every pet stays happy, healthy, and safe during this hot stretch. ❤️🐶 Stay cool, everyone!

Today marks 12 years of Pittsburgh Paws Pet Resort! ❤️🥰

Twelve years ago, Pittsburgh Paws was just a dream fueled by a love for dogs and a hope that we could create a place where pets would be cared for like family.

Today, as we celebrate 12 incredible years, we're overwhelmed with gratitude.

To every client who has trusted us with your beloved family members—thank you. There is no greater honor than being entrusted with the wagging tails, sloppy kisses, goofy smiles, and unconditional love of the pets who mean everything to you. Thank you for believing in us, supporting us, recommending us to your friends and family, and allowing us to be part of so many of your lives and memories.

To our amazing community—thank you for embracing a small, locally owned business and helping us grow into something we could have only dreamed of. Your support has meant more than you'll ever know.

And to every single member of our team, past and present... this milestone belongs to you just as much as it does to me. Your early mornings, late nights, holidays away from your own families, tireless work, compassion, patience, attention to detail, and genuine love for every dog and cat that walks through our doors are what make Pittsburgh Paws so special.
