Thank you to everyone who made it out to the ‘DIY WORKSHOP’ where we made equine hoof clay, hoof spray, coat powder, and fly spray!

If anyone is interested in buying the left over products to make your own at home, feel free to message me. I have extra spray bottles, containers, benonite clay, xanthum gum, witch hazel, copper sulfate, vinegar, arrowroot powder, baking soda, and vegetable glycerin.

We had two incredibly special visitors at the farm —a Luna Moth 🌙💚 and a Polyphemus Moth 🤎👁️!

Many cultures consider both of these giant silk moths to be symbols of good luck, transformation, and new beginnings, so spotting not just one, but BOTH, feels like a little gift from nature. ✨

A few fun facts:

🌙 Luna Moth
• One of North America’s most beautiful moths with a wingspan of up to 4.5 inches!
• Adult Luna moths don’t even have mouths—they live for only about a week, relying on energy they stored as caterpillars.
• Their long tails help confuse bats by deflecting echolocation, giving them a better chance to escape predators.

👁️ Polyphemus Moth
• One of the largest moths in North America, with wingspans that can reach 6 inches.
• The giant “eye spots” on their wings are designed to startle birds and other predators.
• Like Luna moths, adult Polyphemus moths don’t eat—they spend their short adult lives focused on finding a mate and continuing the next generation.

It’s amazing how much wildlife calls our little farm home. Moments like these are a reminder to slow down, look around, and appreciate the incredible creatures sharing this space with us. Maybe these beautiful visitors really are bringing a little extra luck our way. 🍀🦋
