Welcome, Kate! We're thrilled to have her join the Heart + Paw Washington Township team. She is accepting new clients. Read her bio below and book your Style appointment now!

Kate began grooming in 2012 after exploring different paths at Penn State University and eventually discovering her passion for working with animals, especially senior and special-needs pets.

After learning the fundamentals of grooming in a large corporate setting, she transitioned to a private shop where she was able to slow down and gain experience with paralyzed dogs, pets recovering from major surgeries such as ACL repairs and spinal procedures, and those needing a gentler approach.

Kate has a deep love for all animals and currently shares her home with a lively dog and a cat. Outside of grooming, she enjoys spending time outdoors, especially fishing, kayaking, and hiking.

Clayton Day Winners! 🐾💙

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, met our team, and entered our raffle. We loved connecting with so many wonderful pets and their people!

🎉 Congratulations to our raffle winners:
🐱 Lisette – Cat Basket
🐶 Erin – Dog Basket

And yes… Dr. Sanders did our raffle drawing in full surgery attire. 😂 Before anyone asks, she wasn’t planning a sterile raffle—she had just stepped out of a procedure and made sure our winners were announced before heading back to her patients. What can we say, her dedication is exceptional! 🩺❤️

Thank you, Clayton, for another wonderful community event. We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

🎆 Fireworks may be exciting for us, but they can be overwhelming and frightening for our furry family members.

As we celebrate, let’s remember to keep our pets safe and comfortable:
🐾 Keep them indoors in a secure, quiet room.
🐾 Close windows and curtains to help reduce noise.
🐾 Play calming music or turn on the TV to help mask the loud sounds.
🐾 Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date.
🐾 Never bring pets to firework displays.

If your pet struggles with noise anxiety, don’t wait until the fireworks begin. Our team at Heart + Paw Washington Township is here to help with personalized recommendations, calming strategies, and medications when appropriate to help make the holiday festivities less stressful.

Be proactive and give us a call before the festivities start—we’re happy to help your pet stay safe, calm, and comfortable this holiday. ❤️🐾

The best part of our job isn’t just providing veterinary care—it’s the relationships we build along the way. ❤️🐾

Every pet who walks through our doors leaves a paw print on our hearts. Whether they’re here for a wellness exam, vaccines, a sick visit, or just a few extra treats and cuddles, each one makes our day a little brighter.

Here’s a photo dump of some of the sweet faces we’ve had the pleasure of caring for recently. We feel incredibly grateful to the families who trust us with their beloved companions and allow us to be part of their journey.

To our amazing patients: thank you for the tail wags, purrs, kisses, and endless smiles. We think you’re all pretty adorable—and we’re so lucky to know you. 💙

A happy ending for sweet Coco! 🐾❤️

Thanks to the kindness of a Good Samaritan, Coco was safely brought to our hospital after being found. Even better—because she was microchipped, we were able to quickly identify her and reunite her with her loving family. There’s nothing better than seeing a pet make it back home where they belong.

Stories like Coco’s are a great reminder of how important microchipping is. At Heart + Paw Washington Township, we offer the Buddy Microchip, which not only provides permanent identification but also displays your pet’s temperature when scanned—making it an extra helpful tool for both emergencies and routine veterinary care.

If your pet isn’t microchipped yet, we’d love to help give you that extra peace of mind. You never know when it could make all the difference.

Welcome home, Coco! 💕🏡
