🎃 We’ve got something truly frightening to tell you…

In just a few days, we will have five cats who will officially reach their 1 year anniversary at the shelter 😱😱

They came to us on Halloween last year from a large hoarding situation, which means they are now on Day 354 of their shelter stay.

We are sad that they’re still here- not because we don’t love them, because we do, so so much. ❤️ These five have become familiar faces around the shelter, and we’re incredibly grateful that we’ve gotten to know them, care for them, and love them for the past year.

But one year is a LONG time to wait for a family.

They deserve sunny windows, cozy couches, favorite sleeping spots, people to call their own, and all the little comforts that come with having a home.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, please consider stopping by to meet them. Maybe the cat you’ve been looking for has been waiting here for almost an entire year.

Our kitties have been vaccinated, neutered/spayed microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm, and FELV.

We are open for adoptions everyday from 12:00 PM- 4:00 PM aside from Mondays and Wednesdays. We are located at 8790 Guilford Rd Seville, OH 44273.

💔 This little guy needs our help.

We recently received a call about an injured dog who had shown up on someone’s property in need of help. When he arrived, he was holding his back right leg completely off the ground, and it was clear that he was hurting.

Unfortunately, his injuries were much more serious than we initially knew.

Our medical team took him for X-rays, which revealed both a broken hip and a broken femur. He also arrived with several rocks embedded around his hind end, tar stuck to his back, and significant pain when touched. We don’t know everything this poor boy has been through, but we do know that he deserves the chance to heal and feel safe again. ❤️‍🩹

Thankfully, the vets believe that with plenty of rest and time, his hip may be able to heal on its own. His femur fracture, however, will require more help. 😞

The recommended treatment is an FHO surgery (femoral head ostectomy). In simple terms, the surgeon removes the damaged ball at the top of the thigh bone where it meets the hip. This allows the body to form a new, pain-free “false joint” so he can eventually use his leg without that broken bone grinding against his hip.

The surgery and medical aftercare is estimated to cost at least around $3,000.

We know there are so many animals who need help, but right now, this sweet boy is one of them. He didn’t ask to be injured, and he certainly didn’t ask to show up hurting and afraid. What he can have is a second chance, and we’re determined to give him one!

If you’re able to donate toward his surgery, even a few dollars will make a difference. If you aren’t able to donate, sharing his story is just as valuable and could help us reach someone who can.

You can donate to Cowboy’s medical fund directly at this link: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/help-cowboy-get-back-in-the-saddle

OR

We can also accept monetary donations in person at 8790 Guilford Rd Seville OH 44273 between 9 AM and 4 PM every day, or by check to the same address. If you send a check- please note that it is a donation towards Cowboy’s surgery!

Thank you for helping us give this boy the chance to run, play, and live the happy life he deserves 🥺🥺

🎶 Start spreading the news, New York City wants to leave todaaaaay! They want to be a part of it, a new home, new hoooome! 🎶

New York City found themselves wandering outside as a stray, as pigeons do. Some kind people were able to catch them and bring them to our shelter. Sadly, no one claimed New York, so they are looking for a fresh start!

It may not be the Big Apple, but every bird deserves a place to call home. ❤️

🎶 They wanna wake up in the home that’s ready to rock,
And find they’re the ruler of the roost, top of the perch, you bet,
And they’re the bird at the top of the floooock! 🎶 🐦

We don’t actually know the age or gender of New York City….

What we DO know is that this little city bird is ready to trade the streets for a safe place to land and a family of their very own.

Come meet New York City and help them make a brand new start of it! 🐦 🗽❤️

Jane has been waiting for her forever home for 10 months💔

That’s a long time to keep a diva waiting!

Meet Jane. This goofy Shar-Pei/Pit Bull mix has been through quite a lot since she came to us needing emergency surgery. She’s come such a long way since then, and now she’s living her best foster-life while she waits for the person who is going to make her a permanent part of their family.

Jane is one of those dogs who is going to keep you laughing because she is just… Jane. And Jane has some pretty adorable hobbies. She loves sunbathing, and enjoys snuggling under the covers at bedtime. She also LOVES to bite trees- we don’t know why….we don’t know what the trees ever did to her… but she has a personal vendetta against the local forestry industry. She will also happily dispose of those menacing lamb chop toys just for your safety.

Jane does have some important needs when it comes to her forever home. She would do best as the only pet and in a home without children. She can also be cautious around men initially, but with patience, respect, and a proper introduction, she settles in nicely.

Jane is not going to be the right dog for every home, and that’s okay. We’re looking for the home that IS right for Jane. ❤️ Jane is already crate trained and potty trained as an added bonus!

With Jane’s specific housing needs, we will discuss with any interested adopter about her history, and guide towards what she needs to be successful.
Meet-and-greets can be arranged through her foster home by appointment!

Jane has already waited 10 months.
She shouldn’t have to spend another 10 months wondering when her person is coming- maybe that person is you!!❤️

Jane has been vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm.

Interested in meeting Jane? Send us a message to get started at [email protected] or call us at 330-723-7722

💗 Sugar has shown us her heart… literally💗

This is Sugar, and she has one of the cutest little markings we’ve ever seen. When she sits up and puts her front paws together, the black spots on her legs line up to make a perfect little heart😭🥹 We’re pretty sure she’s been keeping it there just for the right person to notice.

Sugar is almost 11 years old and has been with us for close to a year after coming from a large hoarding situation. She’s a quieter girl who likes life on the peaceful side. She’s not the type to demand attention or climb into every lap she sees. Sugar prefers to take her time and decide for herself when she’d like some affection.

In other words, she’s very much a “you may admire me from over there” kind of lady.

Give her a sunny spot, a comfy place to nap, and a window to watch the world through, and Sugar is pretty content.

She’s also good with other cats, although she’d probably appreciate feline roommates who understand the importance of a respectful personal bubble.

Sugar is also FIV+ and that means that her immune system is not as strong as the average cat. FIV is contagious to other cats but only through deep bite wounds- but you don’t have to worry about that, because Sugar is completely toothless!! A true gummy-gal if you will. But she still insists on gumming down her hard food!

We know Sugar isn’t going to be everyone’s instant “pick me!” cat. But maybe that’s what makes her so special. She’s looking for someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like a cat climbing into your lap. Sometimes it looks like a cat choosing to sit beside you. Or just blinking at you from across the room. Or finally deciding that today, you’re allowed to pet the queen.

And when she does? Well… you’ve earned a little piece of that heart. 💕

Sugar has been vaccinated, spayed microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm, and FELV.

Come meet Sugar at 8790 Guilford Rd Seville OH 44273. We are open for adoptions everyday from 12:00-4:00 aside from Mondays and Wednesdays.

You will have to ask for her by name as she’s staying in a VIP suite currently 💅🏼
