BEFORE YOU HAND YOUR BABY OVER TO A PET CREMATORY, PLEASE READ THIS.
Go visit them. I know that sounds like the last thing you want to think about when your heart is already broken. But I really want to encourage you to do this.
Go look around. Ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask the hard questions.
Ask them:
🐾 How do you identify my pet?
🐾 How do I know I’m getting MY baby back?
🐾 How are the pets kept separated?
🐾 What happens from the time my baby comes through your door until they come home?
🐾 Who takes care of them?
🐾 Can I see where they are kept?
🐾 Can I see the crematory?
And then just look around.
Is it clean?
Is it organized?
Does everything look like there is a process in place?
Are they willing to answer your questions?
Do they make you feel comfortable?
And most importantly… do you feel like they truly understand that this isn’t “just a pet”?
Because I know what your baby means to you.
They slept with you.
They followed you around the house.
They were there on your good days and your really bad ones.
They were there when sometimes nobody else was.
They are family. ❤️
And when that terrible day comes, you deserve to know that the baby you loved and cared for is the baby coming back home to you.
I don’t care if you choose Rainbow Bridge or another crematory.
Please just do your homework.
Go see the facility.
Ask the questions.
Find out what their process is.
Make sure they are clean, organized, and transparent with you.
Because once you say goodbye, you can’t go back and change anything.
You only get one chance to make sure their final journey is handled the way you want it to be.
And if you ever want to come see Rainbow Bridge, our doors are open.
Come before you need us.
Look around.
Ask us anything.
We will show you exactly what we do and how we care for the babies entrusted to us.
Because this isn’t just a business to us.
I know what it means to trust someone with a life.
I’m a nurse. I was a hospice nurse. I’ve spent years caring for people and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
And I believe our pets deserve that same compassion, dignity, and respect.
So please…
Don’t be afraid to ask.
Don’t be afraid to look.
Don’t be afraid to know exactly where your baby is going.
Because when you walk away after saying goodbye, you deserve to have peace in your heart that your baby will be coming home to you. ❤️🐾🌈
They trusted us with their whole lives.
Let’s make sure we take care of them all the way to the end.
You do have a say as to where they go.
