Mr. TUX has found himself in need of a home. His owner has passed away and he is used to a very quiet home. We didn't find a medical need for end of life decisions...so our new mission is to place him some where he can live out his senior years quietly and calmly. He is a long haired tuxedo, but has a handsome short hairdo because of some severe matting he was dealing with. He has no major medical issues, but his past has him eating a urinary diet for maintenance. He is shy, but very nice...maybe someone could give him a chance?

Local Pet Loss Support Group 🌈 πŸ’œ

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County, in partnership with Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, is hosting a Pet Loss Support Group with social workers from VHOCC moderating and leading the group sessions.

This group will be held at Kitty City, 91 S Boyce Road, starting Monday, March 30, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the second slated Monday, April 13, at the same time.

Our goal is to provide the community with a safe space to talk about their beloved pets who have passed on and help those who are struggling with loss to feel a sense of community support as they process the grief that comes when all of the love you had for a fluffy companion suddenly has nowhere to go.

No RSVP is necessary.

Please be advised - we will be CLOSED this Saturday evening. We will be open 6pm-8am on Friday (3/27) and Sunday (3/29) nights this weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience!

πŸ’™ **In Loving Memory of Alissa** πŸ’™

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our former team member and dear friend, **Alissa**.

Alissa was an accomplished veterinary assistant who brought skill, compassion, and joy into our clinic every single day. She was deeply loved not only by our team, but by so many of our clients and patients as well.

Although Alissa had moved to Astoria, she never stopped being a part of the Blue Mountain Animal Clinic family. Her presence, her kindness, and her unmistakable spirit remained with us, and we are devastated by this loss.

Many of you may remember her as *β€œthe little blue/pink/green-haired girl”* who made such a difference in the lives of your pets through her gentle care and bright heart.

We invite anyone who would like to share memories, stories, or kind words about Alissa to do so in the comments. It would mean so much to honor the impact she had on our community.

Our thoughts are with her loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

-- the pic is Halloween when Dr Wagnon tried to replicate her great hair with a wig..
