Purr Furrever Cat Sitter Co.

Please donate if you can. I will be donating some tomorrow. 🙏

I don’t really know how to say this.

Truthfully, there is a lump in my throat knowing that I have to.

CCATS is closing intakes.

August has absolutely drowned us in kittens, spay & neuter expenses, medical needs, and supply costs. Add to that the shortage of fosters and adoptions, and I have reached a point where I simply cannot continue taking in more cats and kittens without putting the ones already in our care at risk.

This is not a decision I wanted to make.

For the past 14 years, my heart and my passion have been helping the cats and kittens in need in our community. I am incredibly proud of the work CCATS has done, the lives we have changed, and the cats we have been able to give a second chance.

I am not ready to quit.

But unless things change—unless donations come in, fosters step up, and cats and kittens find homes—I am stuck in neutral.

And that is an incredibly hard place to be.

My heart is heavy.
The tears are real.
And this is where we are.

If you can be part of the solution by fostering or adopting, please visit ccatsrescue.org.

If you can donate, you can donate directly to our veterinary accounts at East Lane Veterinary Hospital or Main Street Spay Neuter Clinic or through one of the donation apps listed below.

We have never been a rescue that does this halfway. We show up. We keep going. We help whenever we possibly can.

But right now, we need our village to show up for us.

If you’ve ever loved a CCATS cat, supported our work, shared one of our posts, donated, fostered, adopted, or simply cheered us on…

We need you now more than ever.

It takes a village to rescue.

And right now, ours is being asked to help carry us through. ❤️🐾

Today they are doing a match your donation event. I did a small donation of $5.00 so they made it a $10.00 donation to help save the kitties. I love this organization. I adopted two lovely fur daughters from them in the past and it was the best decisions ever.

Happy Saint Catty's Day everyone. Hope its going purrfect. 🐱😻🍀☘️

Today I helped feed some of the Ediz Hook community Cat's. I saw 6 strays. This really is a crisis seeing how tucked away they are under some of the smallest spaces under the huge rocks. This is devastating seeing so many homeless cats. I read that their is aprox 45 strays and counting. We need a crew to go out there and go in teams of two or three and have some type of soft item to nudge these kitties out so they can be rescued, fixed and adopted out to great homes. The entire Ediz Hook needs to be searched fully to find all these lovely fur babies. Each cat is like a needle and a haystack out there. How can we make this happen? Save the Ediz Hook Kitties. ♥️

I hope everyone is doing great. Soon I will be donating cat chow to help feed the Ediz Hook cat community. 🙏🙌🐱 Every cat deserves to eat.
