Lacie & Lucky will be killed in July if no foster(s).

Lacie and Lucky need a safe and secure foster home by early July or their person will be putting them down. He doesn't want to do that but he has to move with his daughter to another state and they cannot take the dogs. He doesn't know what else to do with them.

Both dogs are 5-6 years old, house trained and are nice dogs.

Can you save at least one of these dogs, please?

Please foster.

-Four of these dogs, Iris, Meshach a puppy, Yoogie, and Millie are at a local pound which as of today is again over capacity with seven dogs. Always at risk of dogs being eliminated to make room for others.
(The eleven puppies found a foster home late last week. Thank you to the person who is fostering!)

-Eddie, small medium size dog is costing MARC daily boarding fees because he doesn't have a foster and was getting repeatedly attacked at the home where he showed up a couple weeks ago.

-Nyla is a super sweet girl who is in an an unsafe situation.

-Lacie and Lucky's person has to move within the month due to his declining health and he cannot take his dogs.

-May and Dottie need to move because the people who rescued them are overwhelmed with life issues and need relief.

MARC will provide food, vet care, etc. and find the dog(s) good homes.

The number of strays/dumped dogs is rapidly increasing.

Please help us/MARC help this dogs who rely on humans to survive.

Looking for a foster or adopter Soon.

Lucky's person is in poor health and has to move very soon, but cannot take his two dogs with him. Lucky is a fun-loving guy, around 5 yrs. old. He may be a Lab/Australian Blue Heeler mix. Lucky is house trained and gets along well with other dogs but we don't know about cats. Lucky would like to go on some hikes and some other fun adventures, but he also likes being a couch potato. He would also like to learn about walking on a leash. Lucky is neutered and up to date on his vaccines and preventatives, all ready to be your guest or to call your home his permanently.

Please fill out an adoption or foster application found on our MARC website http://www.marc4change.org

Foster or Adopt Soon:

Lacie's person is in poor health and has to move very soon, but cannot take his two dogs with him. Lacie is a sweetheart, around 6 yrs. old and still very active. She may be a Lab/Bassett mix going by her short legs. She probably weighs about 45-50 pounds and walks well on a leash. Lacie is house trained and gets along well with other dogs but does like to monopolize her person's affection. We don't know how she would be with cats. Lacie likes to go on walks and to take naps. She would be perfect for quiet but moderately active home. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccines and preventatives.

We recently had the opportunity to spend some more time with the Executive Director of Warrior Freedom Service Dogs, who's doing incredible work through their organization and supporting our veterans.

One thing we strongly believe is that transforming Tennessee’s animal welfare crisis takes collaboration. It takes organizations willing to come together, bump heads, share ideas, and find ways to support one another in creating stronger communities.

We also believe that a dog isn't just a dog... just ask a veteran with a service animal. The stories and experiences shared by our veterans are powerful reminders of the life-changing bond between people and animals, and the importance of support systems rooted in healing, connection, and purpose.

We encourage you to follow and support Warrior Freedom Service Dogs and the work they’re doing!

Today is National Rescue Pet Day, and we’re celebrating the thousands of "happily ever afters" that started right here in our community. When you rescue, you aren’t just getting a pet; you’re saving a life and gaining a level of loyalty that’s hard to put into words.

Give them a home, and they’ll give you a lifetime of devotion in return.

How you can help today:

Adopt: Meet our current residents looking for a forever family.

Foster: Open your heart and home temporarily to help a dog in transition.

Donate: Support our mission to rescue and care for Marion County’s most vulnerable animals.

Adopt, don’t shop. Let’s make a difference together. https://marc4change.org/
