Congratulations to SJR Cadilac Mist, owned by San Juan Ranch, on an 11th-place finish at the National Reined Cow Horse Association Derby in Scottsdale, AZ.

The weather was great and we are proud of how all of our horses performed over the last two weeks but we are happy to be home and give everyone a much needed few days off!

SJR Royal Diamond and Matt Koch mark a 218 in the Open Bridle Spectacular Herd Work at the NRCHA Derby!

SJR Royal Diamond is out of our great mare Shiners Diamond Girl and is by One Time Royalty. He is owned and bred by San Juan Ranch.

We are going to have Olivers class out today for a tour of the barn and to see what we do every day. I decided to set up a station that the kids can learn about what the horses get fed and how they are cared for on a daily basis!

NRCHA Open Derby Finals are a wrap!

Matt had a great finals:
• Shine Yer Sugar (owned by She’s The One Ranch) — 5th place, $40K
• SJR Mists Natasha (owned by San Juan Ranch) — 9th place, $20K

So incredibly proud of these mares and everything they gave in the pen.

Congratulations to Corey Cushing and Smart Dressed Dude on their Derby win!

Tomorrow we start the journey home—safe travels to everyone!
