With World Rabies Day coming up later this month, this is an important reminder that we all have a role to play in protecting our communities. Keeping our pets properly vaccinated is one of the most important steps we can take to help prevent the spread of rabies and reduce the risk of human exposure. If your pet is not up to date on their rabies vaccine, please contact us at 864-882-4488 so we can get it updated! 💉
Please remember, DO NOT approach or handle wildlife, especially animals that appear sick, injured, or are behaving unusually. If your pet comes into contact with wildlife, contact us promptly for guidance, EVEN IF YOUR PET IS VACCINATED. If you believe you may have been exposed to rabies, contact your physician or local health department immediately for guidance!!
Rabies is a serious disease, but through responsible pet ownership, vaccination, and awareness, we can do better as a community to prevent it. 🦠💉🩺
