Hey guys I just wanted to put out a little PSA of length and timing of grooms. If you have a crunched time schedule around your appointment please tell me in advance.

-I work on each groom as one on one as much as I can. I sometimes use a bather, but usually only on dogs I know really well.

- Each type of groom takes a different amount of time. Short haircuts tend to be faster than a comb length hair cut where you have to go over the coat several times. A bath on a golden retriever is going to take longer then a lab If I have to pre shave dog it can add on time. Different coat types take longer to dry. And so much more.

- There is another groomer in the same shop as me, with her own dogs to groom. There is one bathtub at this time. This can affect how long an appointment can take, if we have to wait for each other to be done with the bath or have to wait for hot water to come back.

- Always expect your puppy or senior dogs appointments to take longer than you think. Things change with puppies and seniors and I always aim to work at their pace. That sometimes means slowing down the drying process by a lot, having to give them physical or mental breaks, working with how they can move their bodies, and teaching puppies about the whole process over and over again.

- I like to keep my full attention on one dog at a time, keeping everyone as safe as possible. This can make time fluctuate a lot.

- If you have a tight schedule please tell me ASAP and I will do everything I can to work with, move appointments, work late, ect to find a time that fits for both of us the best I can.

-Every groomer grooms differently and at different speeds, what's most important is your dogs safety. And how well a groom can go can literally change day by day. Dogs have emotions and have off days, specially the young and old. Some days dogs are sore and it makes me slow down. Some days they are more twitchy and anxious. Some days their coats are more matted, tangled or dirty.
One of the reasons I love this job is because every day is slightly different.

-There are a ton of outside factors that can change how your dog behaved during each appointment. And inside factors as well, maybe your dog is more nervous on busy days, maybe another dog was barking and made them nervous, maybe they are tired and don't want to stand as much as they usually do.

-I care deeply for my clients, even the ones I see once. And I care about you being happy. If there is ever a problem with a groom please tell me right away and I will do everything I can do fix it.
And I promise to be honest with you about how every groom goes, what your dog does great or might need work on, if they seem off or are acting strange, and things I see on the skin or such. And I will be honest about if your dog is safe to groom. I hate sending home unfinished dogs.

-Nail grinding is included with grooms, as long as I can safely get it done. With some dogs that means I can grind them one day, but the next can't at all.

-I am as honest as I can be with everyone about how long you should wait till your next appointment. I am never trying to tell you to come in more often so I can make more money. Each dog is a different case, and it will always depend on your opinion as well.
If you want your doodle long, they HAVE to come in more often, often for a bath, brush and tidy.

-Puppies I would like to see as early as 12 weeks and much more often to teach them the grooming process. This will make a huge difference on how your puppy grows up to handle the thousands of grooms it will have to have for the rest of it's life.
My own puppies get groomed once a week for a couple months as soon as I get them.
Or for the poodles I raise grooming starts at 1 week old with weekly nail trims, then shaving face, feet and tail bands at 3 weeks old and baths starting at 4 weeks old while continuing all the other parts. This can set your dog up for positive interactions for a whole life of grooming.

Thanks everyone for reading. I'm just trying to make the process easiest and best for everyone.

Have a great day!!

This is the correct FB page. The last one I lost access to a few years ago.

I am located in Selah, not very far in on the main street, just before goodwill. I am a fear free groomer who takes clients one at a time.

🛁 A groom always includes a bath, blow dry, ears cleaned, nails trimmed. And haircut is up to you.

🐕 Small dogs start at $70

✂️ Doodles are anywhere from $100-$140 depending on size, behavior, coat condition and what kind of hair cut you want.

🫧 Just getting a bath and tidy (face, feet, f***y) is less then a full groom.

And also short hair baths are less as well. I also offer deshed treatments.

💜I love grooming puppies and seniors. 💜

💅🏻 I also do walk in nail trims for $10.

🐈 I can trim cats nails but I cannot groom them.

🐇 I can groom tons of small animals like guinea pigs.

I DO NOT turn away any breed!

📱 Texting me at 509-910-9484 is best.
