Still have available pups. I made a pen inside the goat pen for the pups to eat in peace and they can be in when I can't supervise. Looks like that didn't work so well. Pups stayed in, goat did not stay out. Looks like the buck gets to pup sit tonight.

Poor Daphne...
I let all the pups out since it was pretty nice today and they do not care which milk bar they go to. Daphne doesn't care but Delilah does and will only nurse her own pups. While almost all the pups were taking advantage of Daphne, Delilah decided to hide in the whelping box.

Well last night sucked. Spent most of the night up with the little runt puppy. He was doing pretty good and then just went downhill. He was a little fighter, but I expected some health issues due to birth size. It was kind of a miracle he lived as long as he did. At least he won't have to suffer with more medical issues. It was rough though. I spent alot of time with him.

It's likely that his embryo had poor placement in utero and he did not get adequate nutrition because of it while developing. Not something anyone can prevent or fix unfortunately.

Rest in peace little dude. 😭
The other 18 puppies are strong and getting huge.
