A little behind-the-scenes from our IGP training! 💪🐾
IGP is made up of three phases: Tracking, Obedience, and Protection and this reel shows us working on the protection phase.

Susann is handling her own dog Lyric, while Tony is doing the helper work. If you are interested in doing sport with your dog, we offer IGP training for people who are interested 💪🏼

Yesterday we learned how to train the swamp puppies for the day! 🐊 As full-time dog trainers in Florida, we felt it was practically a professional obligation to do the Trainer for a Day at Official Gatorland Instagram and go test our skills with the local “swamp puppies.” Getting to experience these incredible animals up close and actually feed them was an absolutely unbelievable experience! 🐊 💪🏼
Go see Kyle for your own Gatorland tour!

Sit Show is headed back to San Antonio, Texas in October! A few days ago we made a post talking about dog sports, specifically IGP. We mentioned that we train for the sport all over Florida, but we also travel all around the country teaching workshops to help other competitors get closer to earning a new title with their dogs 🏆

If you know anyone near San Antonio who wants to give it a try, tell them to come on out October 17-18! If you or your training group is looking for some help, feel free to call or text us to organize a workshop at your training field 📍

More people need a hobby with their dog! So many cool sports exist to fulfill your dog’s genetic desires and you probably haven’t even heard of a lot of of them. IGP is our passion with our own dogs, we have been competing for over a decade and we have multiple USA World Championship teams to show for it 🇺🇸

IGP is a sport that consists of three phases. Tracking, Obedience, and Protection. The protection phase is highlighted in this video, but it’s only a third of the sport! On competition day, judges are looking for a combination of speed, power, and precision from the dog in each exercise to earn the highest points.

This may or may not be the right sport for you and your dog, but one almost certainly exists! If you are anywhere in Central Florida, and are looking for more than just walks around the neighborhood with your dog - get in touch with us for sport training 🐕

And shout out to Peyton Hinkle for putting this video together for us! Lots more to come from a talented up and comer 👀
