Friends of the Seekonk Animal Shelter

Friends of the Seekonk Animal Shelter The Seekonk Animal Shelter is located at 100 Peck Street, next to the Town Hall. Every year over 400 dogs and cats are cared for at the shelter.

These animals are well fed, receive excellent veterinary care and plenty of human interaction during their time at the shelter thanks to the efforts of the Animal Control Officers and volunteers from the Save A Pet Society. Adoption Application Link

We are pleased to announce that KittenPalooza is upon us. We have a variety of colors of both male and female kittens available from Mid-July to August 2026.
NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE. We are only accepting online applications starting July 1 through July 15, 2026.
Go to https://www.seekonk-ma.gov. Under Departments, Animal Control, Shelter Adoption Program and complete the WEBFORM ADOPTION APPLICATION.
Approved applicants will be contacted for an appointment.

Meet Dawson!!!

Dawson is a Lhasa Apso that we estimate to be around 4 years old. He has had quite the transformation since being here thanks to Central Ave Veterinary Clinic!

He is a very happy and friendly cutie who enjoys sleeping either on your lap or as close as possible. He is a decent listener once he gets to know you.

We have been working on his house training and he has come a long way, but would still need a little help and patience.

He also loves his toys and treats, but becomes very protective of them, so he would do best in a home with no other pets or young kids.

Dawson is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you would like to meet this handsome boy, please call us to make an appointment at 508-336-6663.

Meet Clark and Ellen Again 😊

Clark (Left) is a domestic shorthair who is around 3 years old. He has a lot of personality and is a very curious guy. He loves to play and cuddle with his best friend Ellen.

Ellen (Right) is a shy, sweet shorthair who is around 2 years old. She had a hard time coming out of her shell until she met Clark!

These two came to the shelter around the same time and have since bonded due to the length of stay. Ellen is definitely more comfortable when Clark is around.

Both cats are up to date on all vaccines, chipped, and spayed/neutered. If you want a cuddly and playful pair of best friends in your home. Call us at 508-336-6663 to make an appointment to meet them!!!
