Sadie aka Lucy is a little bundle of fun with a serious talent for cuddling. ❤️🐾

At just 4.5 months old, Sadie loves to play, explore, meet new people, and spend time with her favorite humans. She has lived happily with another dog and absolutely adores affection. Her ideal day? Adventures and playtime followed by snuggling up with her people at bedtime.

Sadie can be a little unsure in new or noisy situations, but a little reassurance helps her confidence grow. She needs a home without toddlers or very young children, as she has shown discomfort when little ones get too close to her personal space.

Sadie has so much love to give, and we're excited to help her find the right family. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion who can keep up with your adventures and then curl up beside you, she might be your girl!

Happy adoption stories! 💞

Henry (formerly Hansel) was recently part of his parent's elopement. He even signed the license! Henry was rescued from a puppy mill in 2023.

Wren (formerly Chula) has settled in well with her family. Once a stray in Texas, she is now very loved 🥰

Skye (formerly Marina) is having a blast meeting new people and learning new things. Once a stray puppy who ended up on the euthanasia list with her mom and siblings, she is now thriving!

Ollie (formerly Bertie) is bringing so much joy to his new family after being found as a stray in Texas.

Keysi (formerly Cadence) is enjoying exploring and lounging in sunny spots in his forever home.

Marcellus (formerly Lucky) adores his big sister Luna and cat sister Daisy. He likes to make appearances on his parents' Zoom calls!

Onyx (formerly Lestat) is doing great in his training classes. His parents say he is the best part of their family.

Clementine (formerly ShortStop) is loving life with her siblings Isabella and Figaro.

Flex (formerly Zed) is the friendliest pup to every person and dog he meets. He was found as a stray in Texas with his mom and sister.

Teddy, or Theodog Roosevelt (formerly Platypus) is loving life with his dog sister and 2 human sisters. He was surrendered to a Houston shelter with his 8 siblings.

Marge has been waiting since July, and we’re still wondering how this girl hasn’t been scooped up yet. ❤️

At 5 years old, this Chihuahua/Cattle Dog mix has mastered the art of being a great companion. She’s house trained, kennel trained, great with kids and other dogs, and equally happy to play or curl up for some quality couch time.

Marge has that lovely balance of being affectionate without needing to be the center of attention every second. She fits right into home life and makes being her person look pretty easy.

She’s already shown her foster family what a wonderful dog she is. Now she just needs someone to give her the forever home she’s been waiting for since July.

Philly has a very important job: investigating absolutely everything. 🕵️🐾

This 3-month-old Lab/Staffie mix is curious, playful, and convinced every toy, interesting smell, and potentially edible object deserves a closer look. Other dogs? Obviously new friends!

Philly is a smart little guy who’s making great progress with potty training and learning his manners. He sleeps through the night in his crate, gets along with kids and other dogs, and loves squeaky toys. He’s still learning about boundaries, so his future family should be ready for all the fun (and occasional chaos) of puppyhood. 😂

🍂 Fall break is here, and our adoption calendar is feeling it.

With lots of people out of town, adoptions tend to slow down this time of year. But the dogs and cats waiting for homes are still here, and we'd love to help a few more of them find their people this week. ❤️

Why? Because every time an animal finds a home, we have a little more room to say yes to another dog or cat who needs us.

We don't have an adoption event this weekend, but you can still meet your future best friend! We're scheduling private meet & greets for approved applicants. The first step is filling out an adoption application at 4p4l.org. Once you're approved, reach out to our team to schedule a time.

Mandolorian may be built like a small polar bear, but his current life goals are simple: find a comfy place to nap, receive unlimited pets, and convince you he has never been fed before in his entire life.

Mando knows sit and shake. Will he admit that? Depends. If there are treats involved, he may suddenly develop a mysterious case of amnesia so you’ll keep bribing him.

He’s done great around dogs with different energy levels and seems perfectly content letting everybody else be dramatic while he focuses on his true calling: laying down somewhere comfortable. He’s the kind of guy who says, “You kids have fun,” and then falls asleep on the couch.

So far, Mando has had ZERO accidents in the house like the distinguished gentleman he is. He is a bit of a picky eater, and we’re still figuring out what His Royal Highness considers acceptable cuisine, but we’re working on it.

At the end of the day, Mandolorian really just wants a soft place to land, a good nap, and someone willing to pet his giant head while he does absolutely nothing.

If you’ve been looking for a massive baby disguised as a dog, Mando might just be your guy.
