**New Dog? Start With Structure, Not Stress 🐾🏡**
Bringing a new puppy or dog home is exciting—but remember, everything is new to them, too. A little structure early on can make a BIG difference in building a confident, well-adjusted companion.
🐶 **Keep a routine:** Consistent meal, potty, play, and sleep times help your dog understand what to expect.
🎓 **Start training right away:** You don’t need to wait until your puppy is “old enough.” Keep sessions short, positive, and reward the behaviors you want to see.
🛏️ **Give them a safe space:** A crate, bed, or quiet area gives your dog somewhere to decompress when they need a break.
🦴 **Teach appropriate chewing:** Puppies explore with their mouths. Redirect unwanted chewing to toys instead of simply saying “no.”
👋 **Introduce new experiences gradually:** People, dogs, sounds, surfaces, and environments should be introduced at a pace your dog can handle. Positive experiences build confidence.
❤️ **Be patient:** Accidents, whining, chewing, and mistakes are part of the learning process. Consistency and positive reinforcement go much further than frustration.
The goal isn’t a perfect dog overnight—it’s building trust, confidence, and good habits one day at a time.
🐾 **A great dog starts with a great foundation.**
