🐾 National Community Cat Day 🐾
Today, we're celebrating the community cats who remind us that every life has value and every cat deserves compassion.
At Cudabears Lair, we advocate for solutions that fit the needs of each individual cat. While many people are familiar with TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return), we also support TNVK (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Keep) when a cat's circumstances make returning them outdoors unsafe or inappropriate.
Not every community cat is a candidate for return. Some are injured, socialized, elderly, disabled, or otherwise vulnerable. TNVK recognizes that certain cats have a better chance at life when they remain in human care after being trapped, sterilized, and vaccinated.
The goal isn't one-size-fits-all. The goal is reducing suffering, preventing overpopulation, and giving every cat the best possible outcome.
Today, we honor the trappers, transporters, feeders, fosters, veterinarians, and advocates doing the hard work behind the scenes. Whether through TNVR or TNVK, you're helping create a kinder future for community cats.
Because compassion isn't about choosing one method. It's about choosing what is best for each cat. ❤️🐱
