As part of my continuing commitment to provide the best possible care for all of my furry, feathered & fishy friends, I recently completed the Fear Free Pet Sitter's Certification! This course focused on identifying and reducing fear, anxiety and stress in pets while caring for them in their home. Just like humans, every animal requires specialized treatment to best accommodate their needs and this course was designed to help me do just that.

I was first introduced to the Fear Free curriculum while working for a local Fear Free certified veterinarian and the practices I learned there have been instrumental in my success as a pet sitter. Understanding the way an animal communicates and being able to effectively communicate with them provides a bridge between the caregiver and the animal that ultimately leads to greater trust and wellbeing for your pet.

Caring for animals on their level can look a little funny in human terms, but laying on the floor so this sweet lady felt comfortable enough to come out from under the bed and nuzzle my head was a great way to start the morning 😊 🐾

(Especially for my birthday 😜)

Happy National Small Dog Day! Today is for celebrating all the pint-sized pups with big personalities, like this little lady named Ringo! When she's not patrolling the backyard, she likes to curl up in my lap for belly rubs and snuggles. 🥰

I once had a new client ask me if I talk to the animals whenever I visit them. Great question. Meanwhile, I just asked a dog if he thought I would be cold on our walk without a jacket... 😆

So if you're looking for a pet sitter or dog walker who talks to your pets like they're family, call or text Cat at 772-538-4587! 😊 🐈‍⬛
