If you've been playing with us at PLAY for over 3 years, you will remember the delightful duo of, The Dollie Mama, and Minnie Pearl. They moved to Austin, Texas in 2018, and this week Sarah had the great pleasure of catching up with them...
Sarah: So Minnie, how are you enjoying Austin?
Minnie: Well, Sarah, I’m still as ball obsessed as ever, so that hasn’t changed except that I can be out all year round now what with the Texas weather, so I’m loving that aspect.
Sarah: Dollie, what has been the best thing about your move to Austin?
Dollie: I think I’d have to say Lizards! At first I was having squirrel withdrawal symptoms. There are squirrels here, of course, but they’re so much cuter than the Seattle squirrel so I didn’t want to chase them. But then I discovered lizards! and boy, are they fun, fun, fun. They’re SO fast! And the best thing, they are much more sizeable to catch, so I always feel I’m in with a good chance.
Sarah: I must say you are both looking in great shape, and very happy
Dollie: yes, I’m 9 now and Minnie is 7, and this Austin weather and lifestyle is much more to our liking. We’re keeping fit, and the treats keep us happy. Minnie has a little more grey than I do ;-)
Sarah: Well, thank you for sitting down and chatting with me, it’s been an absolute delight to catch up with you both. We certainly miss you girls at PLAY, but I can see there’ll be no way to entice you back. We wish you all well xx
