There has been increased news coverage of a novel respiratory illness circulating among dog populations. So far there have been no reports in Washington. However, there are at least 100 cases in neighboring Portland, Willamette Valley.

During this peak travel season, it can reduce likelihood of severe illness by ensuring your pup's Bordetella, Influenza and Parainfluenza (often combined with Distemper and/or Bordetella) boosters are up to date.

Avoid use of communal water bowls.
