CGC-URBAN/Taking it to the Streets
5/6/26-a 5 week class that meets off site after week 1. Week 5 testing! CGC is required to take the test but you may take the class if your dog does not have a CGC on file.
If your dog needs work on staying chill in public spaces come join us!

Takin’ it to the Streets! First 1-2 classes meet at Kokoro where we will assess your pups skills for field trips. Weeks2-4 we take to the streets. Past trips: Snoqualmie Ice Cream, Triplehorn Brewery and Flower World! This is for non reactive dogs who need some help settling in public and connecting with you in the big wide world!

This class is for the Sporting Dogs. We introduce birds, gun fire (starters pistol) and beginning trainer retrieve and steadiness for all Sporting breeds and (whoa) for pointing breeds! Recall, tracking and all manner of fun! Your dog doesn’t need to hunt or trial to take this class but we can help get you ready for juvenile stakes!!! Want a better retrieve? SPORTS AND SPECIALTIES:
The very popular GUN DOG class is back. This is a foundation skills class for sporting breeds geared toward hunting or testing. You can also just want to take your couch loving Labrador’s mad retrieving skills to the next level!
We work on steadiness (stand, sit with exciting things happening), Whoa (stopping on cue), retrieving and LOTS of impulse control. We’ll have bird intro (chukkar or quail)and starter pistol intro, recall, tracking and drags, heel work and manners in highly distracting environments.
This class is a ton of fun even if you have no hunting ambitions:).
This class is about harnessing your pups prey drive and putting it to work!
If you want to run Jr Hunter or juvenile FT stakes-this class can help get you there (and clarify what actually happens at these things).
We use R+ methods in this class that you may choose to overlay with an e-collar later.

AGILITY FOR FUN
This popular class returns for a summer engagement. Agility is a great activity to bond with your dog. Dogs must be OK with other dogs present. Only one dog at a time will be in the agility ring but everyone else will be out in the large field on leash. This class is not for dogs who are dog or people reactive.

We focus on “doing nothing” in increasingly distracting environments.
If your dog is reactive to dogs or other people this is not an appropriate class.

Come join us for a fundraiser benefiting Old Dog Haven and the American Brittany Club. Your dog does not need any sort of formal scent work training. All they need is a nose and to be over 10 years old:). There will be 2 to 3 search areas. All will have Nosework target odors but you absolutely can hunt for snacks only!!

What’s new for October?
WEDNESDAYS :
PUPPIES!! “Meet Your Puppy”
8-16 weeks at class start or instructor permission.
In this play and train class we will talk about breed type (herding, sporting, etc.) traits and how they DO have an impact on your dog’s behavior. We’ll point out some of these traits during off-leash play sessions if pups in class are well matched for play. Each week we will cover topics relevant to everyone in the current class. This may include basic manners, such as sit, down, stand (both offered and on-cue), recall, impulse control (stay, wait, leave it, drop it); how to set realistic leash-walking expectations and set your pup up for success; crate and place-training - helping your future coffee-shopping, pub-hopping, traveling, and sport companion learn that there is always a place to chill that is just theirs! And yes - we will address those late-night puppy zoomies that come with sharp little viper teeth and any other puppy-related questions you have.
*Puppy must have had first round of shots and a clean f***l test prior to class (please use our puppy vaccine upload).
