🍂 Autumn is here, and acorns are everywhere! 🌰 While they might look harmless, acorns — and other parts of the oak tree — can be toxic to dogs if ingested. This time of year, it’s easy for curious pups to nibble on them while playing outside, which is why awareness is so important.

Save this post for reference and share it with fellow dog lovers to help keep all pups safe this fall! 🌳🐾

Signs of acorn poisoning to watch for:

Vomiting (sometimes with blood)
Diarrhea
Lethargy or drowsiness
Shaking or tremors
Abdominal pain

If your dog shows any of these symptoms, contact your veterinarian immediately. Early action can prevent serious complications, including kidney or liver issues.

Tips to keep your pup safe this season:

Keep your yard or walking areas free of acorns where possible.
Monitor your dog closely during walks in parks or wooded areas.
Educate friends and family about the dangers — sharing awareness could save a dog’s life!

Hot Weather Pet Safety: 5 Must-Know Tips

No Parked Cars — Ever
Even with windows cracked, a car can become deadly in minutes.

Avoid Midday Walks
Walk early or late. Hot pavement can burn paws — test with your hand!

Hydration is Everything
Keep fresh, cool water available at all times. Bring water on walks too.

Keep Them Cool Indoors
Use fans, cooling mats, or frozen water bottles wrapped in towels.

Know Heatstroke Signs
