🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘 FOSTERS NEEDED 🆘 🆘 🆘 🆘

We are needing to onboard a few new fosters.

Many local area rescues are shutting down for intake due to the high volume currently with this kitten season.

We are trying to not also be forced to shut down intakes as well, while still remaining dedicated & capable to provide for the kitties currently in our care.

The only way we can do so is by having new fosters join and come onboard.

Must be located in the greater Seattle area, have a working car to assist with transport as needed, and a separate space for the kitties/kittens to acclimate from any resident animals, as well as *abide by all rescue rules and protocols* set forth in our required foster contract.

Supplies and food provided, but are a standard of what we feed- no special requests unless it is a medical need for our kitties requiring special or rx foods.

All rescues are drowning right now.

Please consider opening your home to help us help them.

🔮 🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🐱🐱🐱🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮🔮

For those of you who remember the litter of kittens we took into our last litter program, off the side of the road, being sold last month…

Reintroducing Simza, Kalo & Damara!

Part of a litter of 10, 5 were already sold by the time we came across them- there were 4 left (& their sister Gri was given to us 2.5wks later after the owners “forgot” about her), they were approx 4.5-5wks old at the time.

They’ve started their FVRCP vaccine series a little later than usual due to some URI symptoms that we had to treat, & they were all gaining weight more slowly but they’re on track now & searching for their forever homes!

Approx wks 8.5wks old, they are now eligible for adoption through our foster-to-adopt program!

This program is the final step in our official adoption process (this is not “fostering or a trial”), where they begin living with their new families while we complete the rest of their pre-adoption medical that we include in their adoption fee:
✨Spay/Neuter
✨Rabies vaccine
✨FVRCP vaccine series
✨Wellness exam(s)
✨Microchip
✨Deworming series
✨Routine flea/tick/ear mite prevention

**Pair adoption required for all kittens under 6 months old, if there are no resident kitties in the home**

❤️Meet Courage, Muriel, Eustace & Shirley❤️
(Fostering in Seattle)

Today, we had our newest litter make their way across the mountains, and in to short term foster before the boys get neutered on Wednesday and then head in to their official foster, and the girls will be spayed here in another few weeks after gaining a bit more weight.

Our “Courage the Cowardly Dog” litter kittens are approx 8wks old- a little shy, and a bit scared, with “Shirley” being the more confident of the bunch but they will do well adjusting. They all are enjoying pets & having ALL the food!

Both the boys (Eustace & Courage) are polydactyl.

They’ll be spending a little while in foster, settling in and getting comfortable with their new environments.

The boys being paired with two of our other pack kittens (Boggle & Gri) who are similar in their size, & will help them gain confidence. While the girls get paired with two of our other pack kittens (Mac & Frappe) who are similar to their size- who will do the same for them.

Once they are more comfortable, they’ll be elegible for adoption through our Foster-to-adopt program!

This program is the final step in our official adoption process (this is not “fostering or a trial”), where they begin living with their new families while we complete the rest of their pre-adoption medical that we include in their adoption fee:
✨Spay/Neuter
✨Rabies vaccine

We had a busy day yesterday, with 4 of our littles going to begin their acclimation phase known as “foster-to-adopt”, with their forever families!

Freeway headed to her new home with one of our previous families who adopted Felicia last year (now known as Serenity), in Renton. She will be scheduled for spay here in the next 2-3wks once she crests the 3lb mark.

Uno & Jenga took their first ferry ride across the water to Silverdale, to begin their new chapter with their mom, dad & doggo sister. They will be spayed on Wed, with our clinic partner Pasado's.

And, Effie headed to Snoqualmie to start settling in with her new fam & sister kitty Hazel. She will be scheduled for spay here in the next few weeks, once she settles in as her fam is a little further from our clinic partners, which will give her time also for her final FVRCP booster to become due.

All are doing great, and settling in nicely. Wish them luck!

This is “Tilly” (aka “Poppy”) who went to her forever home yesterday, to begin the acclimation phase of her adoption process.

Sometimes we have kitties that 100% absolutely NEED a home with a doggo pal & Tilly is exactly one of those kitties.

She’s now been in her new home for a little over 24hrs & was already giving her brother Duke head bonks & nuzzles early this morning. She definitely believes she too is a dog 😂

Duke lost his kitty buddy, Monster, not long ago & his mom & dad were noticing he was missing his kitty companion.

This couldn’t have been a better match. And, we are thrilled for everyone!

Matching our kitties to their right homes & families is more than just an app being submitted & adoption fee being paid- it’s SO much more than that! Personality matching, work hours away, resident animals & their needs, environment. It’s not “we want that kitty because they’re adorable”, & calling it good.

Happy life Miss Til! Enjoy the next two weeks with your mom & dad, & Duke! And then you’ll officially be official!

Why foster families are so crucial to what we do…

This is a photo of our “Cereal” Litter: Fruit Loop, Trix & Cheerio. A photo with the resident doggos & kitty in their foster home.

Foster homes afford the opportunity to increase socialization while awaiting their forever homes, where they get tons of attention & interaction, instead of periods of isolation in enclosures. As well as the unique added ability to gain experience with other animals, opening up the venue of available forever homes by helping them acclimate easily to other kitties & also dogs, which can sometimes be a challenge.

Our foster families make all the difference & we absolutely couldn’t do what we do without them!

So, if you and your fam are searching for kitties to join your family who are great with all other animals- consider Fruit Loop, Cheerio & Trix! You won’t be disappointed 😉
