Possession of Drugs with Intent to Deliver

In November 2024, the Centralia Police Department Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a 2023 Toyota Corolla out of California on Interstate 5. The two occupants of the vehicle were identified by their Arizona and Mexico identification cards. Based on the officer’s observations and surrounding facts, Centralia Police K-9 Havik was deployed around the vehicle. After receiving a positive alert from K-9 Havik, the vehicle was searched for controlled substances.

During the search, Centralia Police located and seized approximately 150 pounds of Methamphetamine, and approximately 80,000 fentanyl pills, hidden amongst the occupant’s luggage. The estimated street value of the seized drugs was at least $2,000,000. The destination for the controlled substances was unknown, and both occupants were arrested at the scene. The investigation and suspects were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration for prosecution.

This investigation is ongoing, and no further details will be provided. If you, a friend or family member, are struggling with drug addiction, please reach out and seek assistance by contacting Cascade Community Healthcare at 360-748-4339

Congratulations on the awesome capture!

On 11/28 at around midnight an officer on patrol saw an SUV drive down Martin Way E at a high rate of speed. The officer caught up to the vehicle and attempted to stop them, but the vehicle fled driving 70-80mph. Officers followed at a safe distance to ensure the vehicle did not cause a collision. The driver turned down a dead end street and into a driveway where the vehicle stopped and started smoking.

Officers contacted two females in the open garage of the home where the SUV stopped. They identified the driver and stated he ran into the garage, said “I’m going to jail” and then ran into the house. One of the residents checked the house but the suspect was no longer inside, and appeared to have left through a sliding door at the back of the house.

K9 Arco and his partner initiated a track and within moments Arco located the suspect hiding in the bushes in the back yard. The suspect was taken into custody and officers located drug paraphernalia and the vehicle keys in the bushes where the suspect was hiding. Officers also located open, partially consumed beer cans in the vehicle that were still cold to the touch.

After officers completed a DUI investigation the suspect was arrested and booked for Felony Eluding, DUI, Driving While License Suspended 1st Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle without Ignition Interlock Device, Obstructing, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Shout out to K9 Arco and his partner for quickly locating the suspect, and great team work from Patrol.

Excellent work, team!

Around 3am this morning, Olympia Police Department responded to a domestic violence call at the Woodspring Suites located at the 3900 block of Martin Way. The suspect left on foot so a K9 track was initiated by Olympia's newest K9 Bodhi.

Bodhi located the suspect around 3:45am in the same area as the incident occurred. He was taken into custody and booked into Thurston County Jail pending charges of domestic violence 2nd and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.

This is Bodhi's first capture. You are a welcome addition to OPD.

Awesome job Bodhi and Handler.
